Very conveniently located in Downtown Davis. Walkable distance to all dining and entertainments best of all felt safe around town. Hilton was great clean and quiet. I will return here for sure.

The 2nd floor was suppose to be secured it was not it was next to the train tracks anyone could have entered the property without a key

Pros: The front desk people are wonderful, the room and property are very clean, it is close to restaurants, shopping, and the UC Davis campus. The room is well stocked with coffee, tea, and toiletries, and the fridge and microwave are super convenient. Cons: Our room did not have blackout curtains, so it was not even remotely dark in there at night. The top sheets on the bed were not even as wide as the mattress, which was super weird, and the duvet was far too thin and not warm enough at all.

I didnt feel it meets Hilton's standard. The property seemed run down, when i went to check in there was no one at the front desk and then when she did arrive, she took phone call for about 7 minutes!! There were foreign hairs in my shower. The bathroom in the lobby was filthy and your buffet was pathetic. In fact I would like to talk to someone about what I saw. You have a major hygiene issue. I was watching one of the staff filling the cereal with here bare hands!!!

While the front desk person was kind and accommodating to an early check-in, the stay was’t great. They warned us that the Amtrak train across the street was loud. They offered ear plugs but said the train stops at night. That was not true. The train woke up my young kids and dog at 2:15 am and 5:15 am. In addition to the unfortunate wake-up, the room wasn’t great. It was small and smelled (there was a dehumidifier going so maybe there was a flood in the room?), the heater didn’t work, and there were hairs in the shower. We were pretty disappointed overall with the stay. 2 stars for friendly check-in, and a central/walkable location.

Two buildings - one essentially a motel
There are two buildings in this hotel. We were located in a building in the back, through the parking lot. You have to walk up broken concrete stairs to get to the floor where the rooms are located. The carpet is filthy, the beds uncomfortable and furniture cheap. It’s like a motel attached to the hotel that somehow costs $300.

Great location in downtown Davis, but the rooms were noisy (loud doors, thin walls, & seemingly hollow floors). The hallways were musty. It had one, slow elevator. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the surrounding dining options were terrific. The sushi shop next to the hotel rivals some of LA’s best (in taste, service, and price!).

No darker curtains on window so it was bright light all night long from parking lot lights from a movie theater across the street.

Stay away from this hotel!
The hotel is bottom of the barrel and needs to be completely gutted. It smells terrible throughout, the hall carpets are filthy and the elevator is rickety. Despite the claim of free wireless, it did not work the entire time. The room never was cleaned by housekeeping either. If I wanted a miserable experience I would have stayed at the Motel 6 and saved a couple hundred bucks

Property not bad. Our room was not ready by checkin time and while we specifically reserved a room with a balcony (which was on the description), we expected to be able to sit on the balcony but turns out it was a “french balcony” with just a big sliding window and a rail (cant walk out onto it)

Hotel location was good for our reason to be in Davis. The Hotel is very nice, clean. The Staff was friendly and helpful. Parking is easy. We wish it had a pool but we will most likely stay here again in future visits.
