Global Winter Wonderland, 2nd year coming to Sacramento, thousands of lanterns light up the night to create an international scene from around the world🌍 CalExpo presents: Global Winterwonderland - an international lantern spectacular, this years theme, four seasons, and much more. California's Capital, home of mine when I'm not lost in the world. This bridge leads directly to the State Capitol and passes Old Sacramento where remnants of the Old West is still preserved. CalExpo - Global Winterwonderland ❄️ Great Blue Heron comfortably wadding through the American River. Along the American River you'll see all kinds of nature and wildlife....today it's turtlemania🐢🐢🐢 California State Capital, great gardens, museum and historical significance for the state. One of the benefits of living just a block from the State Capitol is you get to photograph it during golden hours. Not only does the California State Capitol serve as a governing body, it's also an amazing museum. I know because I worked there and built their website :) Sacramento River and workable bridge along Old Town Sacramento, Ca Beautiful day for a hike This bridge connects west Sacramento to Sacramento. It leads directly to state capitol of California. This district is home to old wild west attractions where you can ride an old west train and Steamboats. There's also the railroad museum nearby. Global Winter Wonderland! A international sensation that comes into town once a year to introduce unique lanterns from different countries. My hometown may not have much for tourist but we're the capital of California yo Tree outside if DeVeres #treetrove The team and I just reached Sacramento, CA which is where nationals will be held this year. Looking forward to getting on the water in the morning! See the Christmas Lights in the Fab Forties in Sacramento (40th St to 49th St)

#BestOf5 The dome of California's Capitol looking lovely Go to river walk park when downtown and see tower bridge, Old Pacific Coast railway, and old town square which is like being in an old west town. #WeekendGetaway #Colorful #Architecture. #roadtrip Northern California is my heart. Sacramento is a city many should try to visit at some point. This bridge streams over the American River. Home sweet home. Take a horse carriage ride or visit the railroad museum.

Mochi rocks! It’s ice cream in rice crust. Kinda tastes like the marshmallows. #Red Great food! #champagne Delta King Boat In the WAL Public Market (might also have other locations and I know they bring their juices to farmers markets, etc). This place has an excellent choice of healthy fresh juices and farm to fork foods. This means it's a bit on the pricey side for the amount you're getting, but everything we ordered was delicious.
Don't miss out on the fun experience of mixing your own mimosa's like a mad scientist with the mimosa blender board!
More on www.ajauntwithjoy.com Back in the day, Sacramento was a rough and tumble gold rush town of board walks and swinging doors. The historic old town maintains those cool Western buildings as shops and restaurants. A word of caution - do not mess around with the parking fees! You will get a ticket if you're even five minutes late to refeed your meter! Great little museum inside. Cute former hardware store and museum. Great for looking at how things used to be with wonderful displays. Also had great period toys and games for sale for about $10. They were very entertaining to play with. One of the many shops with horse drawn carriages in front. Cozy wine bar right across from Golden 1 Arena! Downtown Sacramento and the skies were blue! My last Sunday in cali was bright and sunny and spent in Sacramento (or san ge mantous in mandarin, which translates to 3 steamed buns) and visited old Sacramento and what I like to call the Real Golden Gate Bridge. Heh. Prior to this, the two times I was in Sacramento involved eating Korean food - once with my colleagues, and another time scarfing down copious amounts of meat with David at OZ BBQ (two thumbs up for both places!)
[August '14] Welcome to Sacramento Gorgeous church definitely worthy of a #Red Neat little attraction not yet on the Trover app. Sandwiched between the Capitol Cathedral Square. Many choice little shops and restaurants. One of many historic shops in old town Sacramento I’m actually standing in the ruins of Old Town Sacramento shooting this picture of the old newspaper building Was very lucky to be allowed to shoot a photograph from the balcony. At first I was ushered away, but a kindly guard allowed me to view a rare ceremony on occurring on Christmas. It’s called “Faith of the Incarnation” it usually only takes place at midnight mass on Christmas, and usually only in Mexico and Italy. I’m lucked out because it was a Spanish mass midday. If you’re Catholic I highly recommend checking in out. I’m 52, and it’s my first viewing of the ceremony. View of the Capitol right across the street from the building at this coffee shop with outdoor seating This beautiful Catholic Church of the Blessed Sacrament is the highlight of the square Go under the archway to enter old Sacramento Nice change from the usual for Christmas Eve dinner #Red All lit for Christmas the political Center of California government is beautiful at night Can’t get a hotel closer to the Capitol. This is kiddy corner. Amazing setup for the California Catholic headed up at Cathedral Square Even the day after Christmas the Capitol stays balmy enough to produce oranges Chicken and waffles are tasty!
