Ok but….

Posted Aug 23, 2016
Pros: Location, easy freeway access. Good size comfortable room.
Cons: Refrigerator and microwave in room.
Location: I was there for a baseball tournament so didn't go looking for entertainment. There is easy access to restaurants.
Basic hotel accommodations, cleanliness, staff, parking etc, were all just fine. However, there was no refrigerator or microwave for the room. I found other hotels in the area with these accommodations for a lower rate.

Dear Coach G, Thank you for sharing your impressions of your recent stay with us at the Holiday Inn Rancho Cordova. Many sports teams, from middle school to Junior Olympics and NCAA college championship rowing teams choose to visit us throughout the year, and it's always a pleasure to have you here. To make your time with us more than memorable, we hope that you enjoyed some of our many amenities: the outdoor pool, covered Jacuzzi, redwood sauna (one of my favorites), the exercise room to keep tuned up for your athletic events, a business center, Starbucks café and a la carte breakfast and dinner menu selections prepared by our chef with daily, fresh ingredients. The clinchers are a perfect night's sleep in the comfort of soothing beds and pillows and a very friendly and welcoming staff throughout the property to make you feel right at home -- true Holiday Inn style at its best. With respect to additional amenities, refrigerators and microwaves are standard in all first floor rooms and rooms with king beds on the second and third floors. In addition, we can provide a limited number of these items upon request and based on first-come first-served availability. Please let us know in advance for your next visit, and we will make every to accommodate your requests. We appreciate your choosing to stay with us and look forward to welcoming you again with your team in the near future. Kindest regards, Jeff Gunzelman General Manager

I wouldn't book here again

Posted Jul 30, 2016
The employees were very nice however when we walked in the hotel it smelled like the public bathroom. We entires our room, smelled good looked good. After examining the bathrooms and beds I noticed there were hair on my pillow and makeup on my sons bed and a broken drawer handle. I called the front desk immediately ans someone came up to change the sheets in its entirety. Went to the bathroom and found more hair. Just very gigarating. The next day we went down for breakfast from 6-10am; we arrived at 9:30 and all the food was put away. We were told we need to pay to order or get a voucher front desk. We left and went to Denny's. Was happy to live! It make our experience during the junior Olympics miserable.

Dear recent guest, First, thank you for letting me know about your recent stay with us. Certainly, any and all shortcomings that a guest encounters is of extreme concern to me so that we can take immediate steps to investigate and correct the situation with our goal to provide you with an optimal travel experience. In reference to the points mentioned in this post, I would have personally overseen and addressed each of them had they been brought to my attention and would even now still want to investigate the specific room you stayed in as well as the housekeeping staff who were assigned to it. While the various teams visiting for the Junior Olympics presented unique challenges, it always our goal to ensure that every guest has perfect accommodations to be able to give their attention to the purpose of their local visit. With regard to breakfast, if you were part of the group who received a separate buffet in our conference room, it is possible that the early arrives had depleted the initial servings and the kitchen was preparing additional food. Otherwise, our restaurant is open and takes orders right until (and even some times after) closing time at 10 am (weekdays, 11 am on weekends). Barring unforeseen circumstances, the restaurant staff always readily assist guests and could have accommodate you as well. Again, I am interested to know specifically what happened on that occasion and would appreciate hearing from you about it. Be assured that our primary goal is to provide you and all guests with a hands-down excellent lodging and travel experience and greatly value your feedback if you ever need assistance. I look forward to your return and to meeting you personally. Very cordially,

We were greeted with a smile every time we entered the lobby by personnel. Nice staff. Breakfast was adequate. The room was very clean and looked contemporary however the mattress wasn't quite as comfortable as I would have liked. I would go there again.

Thumbs up to Emma and Sandy

Posted Mar 13, 2016
Want to give these two ladies a big thumbs up. Emma at the front desk and Sandy in housekeeping. The hotel has a crazy group of kids and adults staying there tonight. Seems really stressful, but these two ladies have managed to keep smiles on their faces. The room we were originally put in only had a small queen in it. We booked a 2 queen room. Even though they were struggling with the kids in the halls and complaining guests. They managed to get us into a room with 2 queens. Big kudos for those 2 staff!!
