Nice stop

Posted Mar 27, 2016 on Hotels
We got to the hotel late. Quick check-in with our reservations. We left pretty early. There was a continental breakfast with waffles, which is always handy. My sister was in the room next to us and said she could hear us talking and laughing.

Had a late check in, but the man at reception was very nice. He let us borrow a wine opener and gave us two spoons so we could enjoy our ice cream :)

Rom wreaked from cigarette smoke

Posted Mar 17, 2016
When we went into the room it wreaked from cigarette smoke. Fortunately, the staff immediately found another room. The maid should have notified the desk that the room needed to be aired out.

Bad location, bad nights sleep.

Posted Feb 17, 2016 on Hotels
We stayed the night at the Quality Inn Woodland in order to make a very early flight out of SMF. The room was clean and comfortable, the front desk attendant was friendly and helpful. That being said I wouldn't stay here again. The hotel is directly next to a shut down Sonic which has apparently become a cozy home for the local homeless. There were mattresses, trash etc. everywhere. On top of the homeless community directly out front the hotel is next to a railway. This meant LOUD train horns throughout the evening. The passing train woke our family frequently throughout the night. Needless to say we had less than a restful night. I would suggest finding another hotel in town.
