Unworthy of the Red Lion name in every respect. They need a serious check from the franchiser. Obvious drug use and prostitution in rooms, poor security that didn't even care. Pool was just an empty dirty construction eyesore. Smelled strongly of the paint that had been hastily and messily applied - headache inducing. "New" carpet poorly laid, all ice machines out of service, "renovations" all completely sub-par or undone. Room door worked poorly, bathroom fan broken. Room window so dirty you could hardly see out. Dirty. "Breakfast" was week-old danish or cereal. It's obvious they ran out of money, and have no idea how to run a hotel - never mind one in a marginal neighborhood with security issues. More expensive by far, and less secure, than the hotel across the street - which is old but better maintained.

It was a nightmare !!

Horrible experience, very very dirty and smells so bad!! It was 3 am when we came to check in and we had no where to go when driving thru Sacramento. so we stayed. But it was a nightmare.

Room smelled of cigarettes / cigarette stains on micro window sill homeless people etc
