Overall, sorta okay stay.

Posted Jan 16, 2017
Nice, quiet hotel. Doesn't allow smoking yet the whole hotel either smells like cigarettes or in my case some dank weed across the whole 3rd floor. If your booking from expedia do not believe the "Check in at any time." BS. I got there tired as hell from a 9 hour drive from San Diego, to find a sign that said "Check In. 3pm" Also for those planning on staying here there's a $50 deposit that is not stated on any hotel booking site. Apparently it's to cover any expenses if you damage anything in the room. Also $100 fee if there's any evidence that you have a dog or smoke in the room. The room will already smell like cigarettes with or without the window open(that's where the manager said the smell was coming from). Sprayed the whole room with a Febreeze I bought at the gas station because it's just so strong. In my opinion the hotel next to it is much better at $30-$50 extra for a 5 person bedroom(Marriot I think). This is what happens when you look for a cheap alternative, without breaking the bank.

close to airport

Posted Jan 12, 2017
Pros: close to airport and clean
Cons: this hotel was in hiding, not very easy to find, they do not have much sign directing where they are, although you can see it off the freeway.
Location: Nothing much to do around, we were just there for the night
I would have preferred that when reservation is made to have a phone number to the hotel. I had to call expedia to get a phone number for them to direct to hotel. other than that it was I was impressed since it was a Super 8 hotel, very nice and staff was nice.

Great location...okay place to stay

Posted Dec 19, 2016
Pros: The location is great. Fifteen minutes from SMF airport, right off the freeway, and next to a decent breakfast place.
Cons: Please check the cleansers the cleaning staff use. If all the rooms smelled like ours, they need to change cleaning products!
Our double queen room was a decent size, but it smelled funny. Maybe it was the cleansers used by the cleaning staff, I'm not sure. The door stuck pretty hard and we had to put our shoulder into it every time; but overall, the Super 8 was a decent place to stay overnight. It's nothing fancy, but for around $75 per night, you're not going to get the Taj Mahal. On the plus side, the front desk staff was pleasant and helpful and there's a good breakfast place next door. The breakfast offered at Super 8 is really minimal, so if you're hungry, you'll want to go next door.

Ran down and dirty

Posted Dec 2, 2016
This hotel is not aso nice as the super8 on Madison. It is old and dirty. The ice bucket lid had mold all over it. The shower head was also very dirty. The key cards for my room expired every night of my 3 night stay and the staff member was rude and told me I was supposed to have checked out when I asked them to reset the card. Overall I would rather stay on Madison in a worse part of town than ever step foot back in this place

VERY DIRTY HOTEL

Posted Nov 30, 2016
Pros: Hot water for the shower.
Cons: Complete remodel.
My wife and I needed a cheap hotel for about 6 hours before we caught our flight, this hotel should be a 1/2 star rating. Very dirty room, and terrible bed and was the original carpet from when the hotel was constructed 15 yrs ago. As a business traveler I rate this hotel as, sleep in your car you will be more comfortable.

Nice Enough

Posted Nov 20, 2016
Pros: Location, Price
Safe location, is by the highway but I always bring a fan for noise with me. Comfortable bed, clean room. Nice staff. Breakfast was frozen toaster waffles, toast, cereal, yogurt, smaller than I expected. If you are looking for a safe, clean place to sleep, this is great.

Old and not maintained

Posted Oct 25, 2016
Location: Location was ok. A great restaurant across the street.
Room and hotel were very run down, not very clean. The suite didn't have anything in it (no dishes or cups ect.) My pillow was the size of a couch throw cushion and there wasn't anything else available to me from the front desk. The couch was so dirty we had to ask for a blanket to cover it. The staff were excellent to deal with though.
