Worst hotel ever....so dirty.

I accidentally bait & switched myself by researching the same chain in Birch Run and then booking in Saginaw. Do not, I REPEAT DO NOT STAY HERE...unless of course you're planning on filming a zombie or horror film.
Dirty: once you get past the newly updated lobby, you're met with absolute filth. The dimly lit and smoke-smelling corredors guide you to either a scary elevator or a stinky starwell. The room wasn't much better. The comforter had holes in it, the wallpaper was falling off the walls and the tub, my GOD the tub. If you bathe here, you'll come out dirtier than you started.
Unsafe: Usually hotels offer extra security in the evenings by making you swipe your keycard to get into any entrance to the hotel other than the front lobby. In this case, the side door to the hotel didn't even close, meaning anyone off the streets could walk in and occupy a vacant corner of the hotel; lovely. And heaven forbid I need to go outside and retrieve anything from my car at any point after 11pm. There was some kind of party going on in the parking lot from 11pm - 4am. We found "butt marks" on our car when we left in the morning.
Severly Dated: The creepy corredors aside, clearly this hotel was bought up by Best Western and just reopened without many changes. The TV's are old clunkers, the heaters are loud and either way too hot or way too cold, the phone rattled when we used it (to book another hotel) and the Do Not Disturb sign still had the Best Western logo. Thank you for taking the time to write about your recent stay at our hotel. I would like to apologize for all of the issues that you experienced including questionable cleanliness and not feeling safe. Cleanliness is our top priority and I apologize that we fell short of this goal. We have very recently changed management and will be making many changes including re-training our housekeeping staff and renovating our halls and rooms. I hope that you will give us another chance in the future to the improvements and change your opinion of our hotel.
