Perfect hotel for my purposes.

This was my 2nd stay at the Comfort Inn in Birch Run, MI, so obviously I liked it well enough to go back. I was there last year for 3 wks helping my daughter after her back surgery, and this year was for a mini family reunion. The hotel is clean, and the staff is pleasant. My room was spacious with a large closet and felt very comfortable. Since I was traveling alone, I was pretty low maintenance. I only use 1 waste basket, I use my towels for 2-3 days and, odd as it sounds, I even make my own bed. Sounds OCD, right? The bed-making just involved pulling up the sheet and comforter on one side of the bed. My only complaint in my room, and it happened last year, as well, was hair in the bathtub that was not from my body. I have very short red hair and on the shower wall was long dark hair. It was not there the first day, so I can only surmise it came from a cleaning rag. It seems trivial, but that is one of my quirks. Hair in a sink or tub that is not mine just grosses me out. I did not lodge a complaint, and it was gone the next day, but like I said, it happened last year, as well. There were no problems with noise, even though the hotel seemed quite busy. I did not eat the free breakfast, but plenty of other clients did. I would just get a cup of coffee each morning and I did not hear any complaints. There was a wide variety of food for a continental breakfast. The Comfort Inn will be my hotel of choice when I visit my family in Vassar.
