A night away

I stayed one night on my way to a family reunion. I was warmly greeted by the staff. I parked right outside my door. The room was updated and clean.

Room was dirty, stains all over floor and furnitur

We got a free upgrade to a two room jacuzzi suite which I thought would be nice. But when we got to the room, we saw stains all over the carpets, every piece of furniture and the room smelled funny (like someone smoked and they tried to cover it up). There were no other rooms available, so they couldn't move us. Seeing the condition of the rest of the room, we didn't dare use the jacuzzi because who knows when the last time it was cleaned!! We didn't even want to take our shoes off in this room. Luckily, the bed was ok. My toddler son was running all over and we didn't want him to be on the floor or furniture. It rained for only 3 minutes, but that was enough to flood the entire entry way so we had to walk in the soaking wet grass to get to our car. When we told the front desk we were unhappy with the room, she acted like she didn't even care. We booked this hotel because it was a bit cheaper than some of the other hotels and now I know why. Next time I'll pay a bit more to stay somewhere much nicer.

Would not stay there

The room was for a handicapped person. Which was not revealed when booking. The bed was lumpy and very uncomfortable. We had to ask for the bedding to be changed the next day as when we went to bed the first night there was a stain on the sheets. The bed was not made the next day just thrown up. I was very upset as the room was booked for out of town guests to our family reunion.

Gross.

Filthy carpet- looked like it hadn't been vacuumed in months. There was a dead bug on the floor. Shower and shower curtain was dirty and moldy. Comforter hadn't been washed in months. Carpet is dirty and torn. Just gross.

Unexpected failure!

Pros: the continintal breakfast was decently good.
Cons: There staff service, and better accountability for room service employees.
Location: Lots of shopping of just about any stores nearby. We found good restaurants with little to no wait.
My fiancee and I spent a full weekend in the area. At the hotel checking in Friday evening we were not told were are room was at. I had to ask, "what entrance was closest to our room?" receiving no reply. Getting to the room we saw no ice bucket. Asking the same person who checked us in said,"we don't have any extras I can give out because it has a different hotel logo on it." I said I didn't mind and they refused to give me one. Saturday afternoon while exploring the area house keeping came to the room and only vacuumed the room leaving the trash bin full, not replacing towels, and changing bed sheets. This was very disappointing experience. Only positive thing I can mention the continental breakfast was decent.

Convenient hotel - clean and comfortable

We were in the Oscoda area for most of a week on family business and found this a good place, with comfortable rooms, very clean, and a helpful staff.

Pros: Location close to restaurants and shopping
Cons: breakfast food quality poor Carpets in hallway stairs and room look tired and stained
Room tired appearance and pillows horrible to sleep on. Bathroom ceiling had several long dark hairs stuck to it. Carpets worn in hallways. Location close to restaurants and shopping Staff friendly. Breakfast lots of selection but poor quality and tasted horrible. No one appeared to enjoy their breakfast experience here.

I'm not making the same mistake twice

The hotel staff were welcoming but the hotel needs some repairs. The window in the room you could not see out of due to some sort of film on the glass and the lamp in the room looked like it go in a knife fight. Ps forget about the breakfast and go somewhere to eat in the morning! Nasty!

Outdated and filthy halls and stairwell

Will not stay there again. Had a musty smell. Hallways and stairwells filthy. Checkin guy was nice but overall hotel in desperate need of updates.
