Friendly staff. Nice room. Disapointed we paid $12 extra by booking through expedia than direct with hotel.

Not too badPosted Sep 12, 2015
Pros: Clean room, decent breakfast.
Cons: Add eggs and/or meat to breakfast. Lobby could use deodorizing or air fresheners.
Location: Conveniently next to freeway. Not too noisy. Fast food joints nearby.
Room was clean. Bed was comfortable for us. Staff was nice. No meat and eggs for breakfast but the waffles were nice. As far as dirty roadside motels go, this one wasn't too bad.

Quiet, close to highway.Posted Sep 4, 2015
Location: Bay City and Port Austin were a good trip from the hotel. USS Edson was worth the visit.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Internet available and free calls to Canada and the U.S. Good breakfast available of cereals, toast, buns, etc. and fruit. Bed clean and comfortable. However, the hotel overall is a work in progress. TV did not work according to instructions - no guide available, channels not as shown on hotel list. Towels were changed every day, despite leaving them hanging up. Armchairs were very wobbly and stained. Air conditioning stayed on all the time, no matter what temperature it was set at (even set at 74). Not a good idea to have changed from coffee pots to one cup coffee makers - at least provide more than one package of coffee if this is going to continue. Central to many cities for a fun visit. I would suggest that guests check the rooms out first to see if they meet standards.

Stopping half wayPosted Aug 18, 2015
I was heading north and i had to stop half way. The services are decent and the rooms are clean and have good space to them, i loved how every room has a balcony (a plus if you are a smoker). Could be cheaper but then again if you have no other option then this one is not bad at all

Nice hotel room. Friendly service.Posted Aug 17, 2015
Good hotel. Rooms could use a little better air quality. But other than that it was a good place to stay.

Never Again!!!Posted Aug 10, 2015
First impression was given by a weird smell at the front desk. When we parked to enter the part of the building were our room was we had to walk down the parking lot to access the ramp because there were no steps right by the door. When we entered our room it looked somewhat nice until we heard loud noises from outside...there was a demolition crew breaking up the cement from around the pool that looked to have not been in service for about 10 years and an abundance of junk wood debris piled up right outside our patio door. Shortly after that we left to do some shopping and have dinner. Upon returning we were shocked to find the work still going on...mind you this was about 8pm on a saturday. It didnt stop until about a half hour after we complained to the front desk. Thinking that now we could relax and enjoy the rest of our night we were sadly mistaken. The king bed in the room was very lumpy and made noise with every move you made and the pillows were just as lumpy and uncomfortable. After the sleepless night we were ready to eat the "English Breakfast" that was listed on the booking site to find out they only offered a continental breakfast. But even the jelly for the bagels had a consistency of half dry putty. Needless to say we were quick to check out and leave in hopes to salvage the rest of our 1st anniversary. We will never return to this place again.

Family ReunionPosted Jul 6, 2015 on Hotels
We had driven all night (8:30 pm IL. time) to 2:00 pm. MI. time) through storms and construction and were very tired. We had a family supper with relatives at 5:00 that evening and came back to the room to go to sleep. We were asleep a couple of hours and then awakened by music and voices in the room next door. I called the front desk and complained about the noise and was told they would check on it. The music was only minutely muted and the voices got louder after the clerk left. I called the desk again and the clerk said he would call the police and have them asked to leave. Within 1/2 an hour, the noise subsided and we were able to get back to sleep. The next morning, at breakfast, the head desk clerk came to us and apologized for the disturbance. This was the most concerned hotel we have ever stayed in. The rest of our stay was fine.
