Good but some improvement needed
Overall, I think this is a nice hotel. I'd probably stay here again if I'm in the area in the future. However...when I checked in, I was a bit bothered with the front desk person as she seemed very irriated that I was there. There was no friendliness. I was also very disappointed in the condition of the fitness center. This part of a hotel is important to me as a traveler. The fitness center here was DIRTY. Trash laying around, sticky machines, no towels/cups, nothing to wipe the machines down. I emptied the trash while there and set it outside the door and the trash bag was not replaced. Other than those things, the hotel is nice. Clean and updated rooms, clean bathroom, nice breakfast, and friendly people (other than the first person I met). It's convenient, also.

One of worst Holiday Inns that we’ve ever stayed at. Room service not the best:?had to get my own towels from front desk; Kleenex box empty; light on desk not working properly; floors not vacuumed; sink drain barely worked; no tv guide with limited viewing access; had to get my own “regular “ coffee from front desk; and no courtesy travel to airport. LLC

First stay at this property. Room was uncomfortably large with limited furniture. Sound echoed with the empty walls and hard surface floor. Walls had several areas if missing paint and there were no hooks in the bathroom, just the holes from where they were. After checking in we found there was no hot water. The desk clerk advised they were working on it. Three days later when we checked out on Sunday, still no hot water. The checkout desk clerk advised she would give a 50% discount, but because we booked through the Hotels.com site, we would need to initiate the request the site. We had family Christmas Brunch in the morning, then called in the afternoon to request the adjustment. When the Hotel.com representative called the property they only provided a 20% adjustment. Gee thanks Holiday Inn of Saginaw… DO NOT stay here. There are much better options nearby. Sincerely, Finally get to shower three days later.

Breakfast ran out at 930 when was supposed to be finished at 10. No hot water from Sat evening and still didn't have it by check out at 11. Hot tub wasn't working either.

The first room we had had a flood. The new room was satisfactory although the bathroom did not appear clean. When we asked for extra pillows, we were asked to come get them at the front desk instead of them being brought to us. Normally would not be a big deal but there were multiple front desk staff available and they were all on their phones. We arrived at breakfast at 915-930 and there was barely any food left. When asked if it was going to be refilled, we were told she was closing up soon so not everything would be replenished. Saw that breakfast did not end until 10am. There were multiple families that came in after us also not able to get much variety of food. The coffee was run out and was not replaced for over 30 minutes. Multiple staff available and again many on their phones and not overly helpful. Very disappointed in this stay and will not be returning.

I reserved and paid for the room long before our stay and when we showed up they said 2 Queens and pull out sofa was slinger available They gave us a King with pull out sofa… for My elderly mother (79) myself ( 59) and my daughter and her daughter . We definitely did not have the beds required My daughter has a bad back and had to sleep on the couch. The worst part is we kept telling my little granddaughter we were going to have so much fun in the pool NOT! No one was in in because it was ice cold and the hot tub was even colder. We had this get away planned for quite some time ( taking time off work and driving 21/2 hrs to get here ) so disappointed and especially for my little granddaughter. I’m expecting to be compensated. Price hikes are ugly
The stay was great, but this new deposit hold amount is absolutely ridiculous ( $250/per accomodation) I'm a IHG member,so from now I will be booking straight through my app instead of through hotels com. Every since hotels.com have been linked up with this new one stuff I'm seeing a great income of changes. That o do not care for at all.

Choose a different hotel - this one is not great!
We upgraded to a king suite, the shower was nasty with mold in it. The extra bedding for the pull out couch was stained. The floors and walls are so thin you could hear a tiny foot step on the floor above you or someone right outside your door. No one was at the front desk when I went to check out. Most breakfast items were gone by 8:30am. I would never stay here again! Do not waste your money.

Well where do I start. 20 min check in due to the staff lack of knowledge of the previous customers reservation. Which in the end he said oh here it is I found it. Room was decently clean, but nothing spectacular. Only one bath towel in the room when reservation was for two people. By the way the bath towels were slightly larger than a kitchen hand towel. Breakfast if that is what you want to call it. Cold scrambled eggs. Turkey sausage. No bacon or real sausage. Milk gravy and biscuits. Gravy was cold biscuits were hard. Coffee was horrible (you could taste the grounds). No creamer out. Work out room was disgusting. Dirty towel around the gym. Weights all over the floor. Doesn’t look like it has been cleaned in a long while. Customer service is gone!

The property is older and not as clean as it should be. The pool was ice cold, but not in a good way. The hot tub water was colder than the pool. I requested extra pillows for the fold out bed and they gave me one pillow. There was something taped to the wall in the room. It honestly looked like someone had a hotel party in the room by where there was tape still. The breakfast area had ants and so did the lounge restrooms.
