We liked that it was not a chain and had character. Our room had a fireplace which was lovely and plenty of space. It is very charming overall.

This was an amazing experience staying at Montague Inn. We didn’t stay in the main house but in the carriage house. It was so cozy, comfortable and adorable. We were able to have a tour of the main house and it was incredible. We were told the history of the mansion which was very interesting. Everything was decorated to suit the era of the mansion (1929). They also do weddings here and the photos were unbelievable. Because it was not busy, there was only a continental breakfast and that was fine. Would love to stay here again.

This was such a cool property! There was so much attention to detail in giving guests a good experience. When we arrived, we were given a tour and shown to our room. From all of the little sitting nooks to the bar and the library with hidden doors in the bookcases, we really enjoyed the facility as a whole. Our king premier room was large and comfortable, everything was clean and in working order. The fireplace in our room was beautiful. Breakfast was hot and delicious. The only thing that could have been improved was the ability to control the temperature of our room but we weren't uncomfortable by any means. 10/10 would stay here again.

Really loved the spacious rooms and the quiet vibe. Very beautiful home. Its such a shame they don't serve a real breakfast unless there are more than 4 guests. Wasn't a real experience but was okay for a quick get away.

What an Experience!
If you like making memories rather than choosing a generic hotel experience, by all means choose this beautiful, hidden gem of an inn. We stayed here only one night, but wished it had been longer. The staff was very welcoming and helpful, and even gave us a tour of the whole house, including lots of history which we both love! There's an actual real-life hidden room behind a bookshelf panel in the library where the family silver was kept safe, along with prohibition era alcohol. Can't find that at a chain hotel! Our room had a king sized bed and a gas fireplace to keep the room warm and cozy. Everything was clean and cared for. We would love to have had a warm breakfast the next morning, (would have been if there had been at least 4 rooms booked) but there were boiled eggs, breads and cereals, and fruit. So again, if you want a bit out of the ordinary experience, one you won't soon forget, stay at this beautiful inn in Saginaw! (Also just a few miles from Frankenmuth, which is why we were in the area at Christmas time.)

Wonderful stay
Very good accomodations, very clean and in great condition. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great. The only other comment is that the outside door lock of the carriage house needs improvement. Very hard to turn key to open door.

The only complaint I have is the radiator heat was too high and it made the room very hot and dry very quickly. I ended up sleeping with the door open to even out the temperature. Overall, very clean and cute place to stay.

Handicap, elevator not operable.. Was upgraded to room 1st floor(good), but was freezing cold(bad). Reminded me of my job, cutting meat in a refrigerated cooler.

Our room was very nice, we were in the carriage house. The rooms are decorated great and very comfortable and spacious. The Montague was a beautiful place to say grounds are amazing with flower gardens and right on the river the breakfast we had in the morning also was very good And the staff was wonderful

It's a lovely property, nice to sit outside by the river and enjoy the grounds (which are sizable). Back patio is lovely with flowers and nice lighting. It's a BnB, so older furnishings, antiques and old books are featured throughout the property. It took a bit of time to get hot water to the shower (which was fun trying to figure out!)...but a unique home with plenty of character, so that's part of the experience! The staff were polite, friendly and knowledgeable. We'll stay again!

Quiet stay.
A nicely kept property. It has a homey feel, though a baronial setting, by appointments/details and location (country estate) yet so close to downtown. The staff are very pleasant, friendly and accomodating. I stayed in the main house, 2nd floor Bedroom. It was a quite and relaxing stay. The Saginaw River/Objibwa Island just behind.
