Very basic!

Posted Apr 19, 2017
Pros: Location and price.
Cons: Cleaning
Location: Pier and Ao Nang beach.
Close to pier to Railey beach long boats, a short Tuk Tuk ride to Ao Nang beach. The Hotel offers basic services, no elevator, the towels and bed sheets need replacements. Pool was nice, and front desk very helpful.

The hotel is not modern

Thought the hotel was located near a nice beach. Lots of insects and animals that will get into your room. There is no room service. But for the price I paid it was acceptable.

This place was in the middle of nowhere on a busy road with no access to beach, restaurants, shops or anything. Give it a miss., you can find a lot better.

Very friendly English speaking staff. Food is good. Scooter rental available at front desk (easy & cheap), good for day trip to beaches or Tiger Temple.

Super Location

Posted Jan 24, 2017
The hotel is right across from the pier so really handy for boat trips. Front facing rooms have a sea view. The common areas are nicely maintained but avoid room numbers ending in 01 to 06 as they are in the old section of the building and if ours is anything to by, are in need of an overdue upgrade. However, the room was comfortable and large with a nice balcony facing the sea. There are lots of great local places within a few minutes stroll to eat and drink with very authentic food. If you want fast food chains, stick to Ao Nang!

Thip residence feels like home

Posted Dec 26, 2016 on Hotels
Wiith exception of a few small things that can be improved i enjoyed my stay at the Thip Residence ... can book a scooter or tours of the area with the front desk... it is a little ways from ao nang area but is ideal for doing tours to orher islands as they depart from a pier only a 4 minute walk away ... everything in krabi was within reach from so if you dont need.to be in the heart of.the action this is a great option. And to not forget that you wont get a bad meal at their restaraunt either..

Good Value

Posted Sep 10, 2016
Clean and comfortable, stayed one night at the start of the trip as arrived too late for boat over to Railay. Returned for another night at the end of the trip. Hotel staff are helpful, hotel is basic, not a lot to do around the hotel, 2 min walk to the pier for a boat to Railay.
