The room was okay, we had a couple of issues that we didn’t address at the time because we were there on a short trip. Even though it said the room was smoke free it smelled like someone had smoked before in it and I’m pretty sensitive. In addition, we could hear a lot of noise every time people talked outside our window. Also, there was an issue with the shower and it was pouring at times super cold or boiling hot water unexpectedly, and that happened a couple of times. Again, we didn’t have time to complain to the hotel and we didn’t want to waste our time making an issue. Also, one time the window was left slightly open and we only found out the next morning after we felt super cold. The final thing was the fact that they asked for a tax fee upon checkout which was surprising, as I expected from Expedia to have had included all the costs upon booking and payment. In general, the stay was ok.

Great little hotel, close to Versailles
Nice hotel. Room and bathroom are small, but adequate, quiet, and comfortable. Hosts very nice - they allowed us to leave our car at the hotel while we visited Versailles. It was very convenient. Catch the #40 bus one block south of the hotel - it will take you right to Versailles.

Functionally OK but rather tired in places. Some I provements have been made but it would benefit from more. Good train service into Paris which was the main factor in our choice.

We stayed for one night to visit the Palace of Versailles which was a short drive away. The room was comfortable and clean, staff was friendly, and the breakfast was delicious.

Needed a room for a one night stay close to Versailles. Convenient and close if you have a car. They were flexible with extra people for a fee. We squeezed 4 people into a reserved room for 3 with extra bed. Got a room with private entrance and little patio outsideAdequate if you are not picky. Parking on the premises were tight so with our big rented sedan we parked on the street. Our main bummer was that WiFi was not working when we were there so had to drive to a McDonald’s to get connected for a work related reason. Adequate breakfast for a fee.

Good hotel for a quick one night stay
We stayed in a double bed with a single bed room. The room was mostly clean, it had some dirt on the sink and counter in the bathroom and on the walls here or there but nothing major. The beds and pillows were alright, nothing fancy but worked well. We loved the location, it was perfect for our plans. There is a small table in the foyer which one person could eat or use their computer. We liked that there was a mini fridge to cool our drinks but we didn't care for the fact that the TV was on the mini fridge. We didn't watch TV as we got in late and left early so I am not sure about the selection of channels available. We did like that there was enough room to move around the beds and such without having to squeeze by. The shower is a bit small, it is a stand up enclosed type and while we had enough room to move a little it defiantly wasn't big enough for us to help bath our young son. They have a restaurant but it only serves breakfast... which is extra. We opted not to eat there for breakfast as we were getting an early start. The Wifi was okay, a little slow at times.

If driving, good location for visiting Versailles.
Unfortunately it rained during our stay so our bike tour of the gardens of Versailles was canceled, but we substituted by going to the Cathedral in Chartres. Staff at the hotel was most apologetic and accommodating.

Little hotel very close to the Versailles château.
Even though is a bit dated; the room was very big and comfortable. The staff spoke english and was very attentive and friendly. Very nice experience and I will visit it again!!

Fine hotel.
Nice, clean little hotel. We arrived past 11 pm but we called the number on the door and they gave us code we could use to get the keys. Room was nice and windows opened to quiet trees. Wifi was fine. Free parking outside. Only a few minute drive from here to Versailles, probably too far if you plan to walk from here.

Very nice place, quite peaceful, very close to Versailles. The restaurant recommended by the very nice person at the desk in the evening was perfect! and quite extraordinary since it is 'lost' in the middle of an airfield... The room was very clean and well equipped, the wifi worked and all was very french and very nice. Much better than a chain-owned hotel in our mind.

There was mould on the bedroom walls, the bedspread and cushion had signs of dried ???? The shower cubicle leaked, you could not get a water to remain at a decent temperature and the shower filled with water as the drain was way too slow. Breakfast service too slow, single staff needing her cigarette breaks. Struggled to justify the star rating advertised for this hotel.

Good little hotel just 3 km from Versailles. Very helpful staff who gave handy tip on where to park for free at the Palace. Hotel itself is a little tired but service pretty good, bed very comfortable and suitable if you are travelling by car to the Palace.

We wanted something close to Versaille with parking for the car. The location was good for that. It was reasonable driving distance from Paris by Car. It was possible to use mass transit into Paris but you needed a few hours for commuting with 3 different transitions to get to the main attractions of Paris. We just went in before the traffic on Sunday and left after the traffic. The room was small but modern and clean. There are no suitable restaurants or stores within walking distance. It is a hike to the center if you want to change $$$ and you will only find petrol with the aid of a GPS.

The hotel was nice enough but in dire need of updating. It was a bit like staying at Faulty Towers. Out of three lamps in the room only one worked. It is near the train station and about 3 miles from the Palace which are both very convenient.

Hidden Gem
We had a car that we did not want to drive in Paris, so we stayed in St. Cyr L'Ecole right behind Versailles at the Aerotel. The RER train station is a 15 minute walk (about 1/2 km). Rooms with en suite baths were comfortable, the buffet brekkie complete (although I thought a tad pricey, but that was EVERYWHERE in France where we visited. ) Staff was VERY solicitous for our well-being, and very helpful. I would stay at this hotel again. Nice quiet hotel with parking. Perfect for a day long visit to Versailles, or to run into Paris or Chartres.

V Good - but only few restaurants nearby
The room was clean, could have a very good quiet night's sleep. Perfect for visiting Versailles Palace by road. Staff friendly. Hotel Car park could get full later at night. Breakfast reasonable value. Beware that restaurant in front of hotel only open Mon-Thurs when we went. Closes at 9pm too! Good value food and good quality - had very good steak with chips. "Speciallity Fish" restaurant nearby 600m away near small airport was all French speaking so could not translate. Other choices of food available. We unfortunately chose a Salmon Tartar and although presentation was excellent we could not eat as all food was not cooked. Did not realize this was what tartar meant ! Desserts were also a bit old and dry. Other restuarants really needed to drive to. We stayed 2 nights and parked outside Versailles cost similar to London parking prices. We would recommend this hotel as a 2* Hotel to friends

Don't be decieved by the stars
Apparently the star rating system is based on factors other than quality of stay. We were nervous that this is listed as a 2 start hotel. I suppose it doesn't have things like a gym and pool, or fancy dining room. But it was a really wonderful stay. It is on the edge of Versailles. For a traveler on mass transit, it is a short local bus and short walk from the Palace of Versailles in the little berg of Saint Cyr l'Ecole. Our room was immaculate. The staff was very courteous and spoke enough English for us to communicate. While we didn't tour the town, the parts we walked through looked quaint as well. This was not only very economical, but a pleasant, quiet, simple break from the hustle and bustle of a European vacation.

The Hotel was clean,the staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was comfortable and the breakfast was good. I picked this Hotel because it was close to Versailles, which I wanted to visit, and because I needed secure parking for a car with a roof box. The Hotel location was the big drawback. There was nowhere nearby to eat or have a drink after a long journey, without getting back into the car. The village of St Cyr L'Ecole was about 15 minutes walk away where everything appeared either shut or uninviting. Overall, nice hotel, but ....

Will never return again
We choose this hotel because of the good reviews. When we arrived we left after one and half hours. The room was not clean and very small. We looked out at the garages of the hotel. Limited space for parking. The breakfast buffet was only a square meter large. Builders were walking arround. To be honest this is not a 2 star hotel.

Very Happy with the Aerotel
Nice place to stay, very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms where quiet and area seems quiet. It is located nearby a General Aviation/Recreational Aviation Aerodrome, but the noise from there didn't start till later on in the day, and didn't seem to intrusive in the hotel. The room was very neat, had a flat panel TV with Cable and free wireless internet. All worked. Bathroom was surprisingly big and clean.
