"Convenient location for navigating the Left Bank."
Our first room (407) had a card-holder for lights that 1) didn't function, or need to, and 2) had exposed electrical wires. It was also overcrowded by a large Art Deco vanity that blocked most of the windows and needed to be removed. Our second room( 707) (arranged by a very obliging night clerk) was more spacious, and had a charming balcony, which, however, displayed what looked like a naked electrical wire from a grill, along with cigarette butts and filth under the grill. It consisted of two single beds put together. However, its hair drier didn't work, and the electrical outlet we needed to recharge our equipment was not to be found--until the obliging night clerk came up and located it hidden under the bedside table, at a place so obscure that we two older folk would have had a problem accessing it, had he not kindly done that for us.
