The large games room provided hours of entertainment and the lounge/dining room with log burner, a comfortable retreat for cosy autumn evenings. Gill & Mark are amazing welcoming hosts."

"Three generations staying in a renovated chateau (with a secret cellar) in glorious countryside with a charming and most helpful host: what's not to like?! And the donkeys are charming and friendly too. A holiday like no other..."

"What isn't evident from the photos is that this gîte is made up of an older part and a new "tower" part - but that both are now to the same, modern standards. People should be aware that three of the rooms are on the three floors (inc ground) of the tower, so there are quite a few stairs which may be daunting for some. The main bedroom en suite at the top has fantastic views over to the Pyrenees, but does have the slight downside that the en suite bathroom doesn't have a toilet, which is down a floor. The location is great, only a fraction over an hour from Toulouse and the airport on quiet roads in this, one of the quietest départments. What Gers lacks in organised stuff to do it makes up for in lovely open countryside and fantastic walks even just around the property itself. Happy evenings birdwatching from the verandah (and noisy nights from the resident Little Owl). Virginie as host is both very local and happy to help with any requests. Also v quick to respond."

"We had a lovely stay with family. there were six of us staying and the property was spacious. The three main bedrooms had ceiling fans which helped on hot nights. The children enjoyed the pool, however the pool was deep for them and we had to purchase some inflatables for them to get the most out of swimming as they were unable to touch the bottom. The area surrounding the cottage was very peaceful but within walking distance was the castle, restaurants and the medieval siege. The main town of Condom was about a 10 min drive away."
