Good basic hotel

Posted Sep 6, 2017
Pros: Breakfast and bike hire
Cons: Decoration and furniture
Location: Near the Reeperbahn entertainment area. Lots of bars and restaurants. The river Elbe is within walking distance and S-Bahn station about 50m away
Reception staff were friendly and helpful. The room was basic and when I opened the wardrobe I thought it was going to fall apart. The corridors echo which is OK in the week but at the weekend there are groups of revelers for stag nights and hen parties which can be disturbing. The breakfast is great, good wide choice. I liked the fact that you can hire bikes from reception but be aware that the 50 Euros deposit has to be paid in cash. The 12 Euros daily fee can be paid on a bank card. Probably great for young people who want to join the local fun action. Probably not suitable for children due to the area. The S-Bahn station is very close which is on a line that goes to the airport.

Handily placed for the Reeperbahn

Posted Aug 24, 2017
Pros: Location
Location: It's in St Pauli - the best area in the world.
Friendly staff, decent room, great location. TV did not work, but I didn't go to watch TV! Room set away from Reeperbahn, so no traffic noise. Room was over the hotel entrance, constant shouting and screaming at all hours from drunken residents meeting outside and coming and going, and from the hotel workers from early in the morning moving rubbish and laundry trolleys around. OK for short stay, but don't expect to get much sleep. I dread to think what the dorms are like.

Perfect location

Posted Apr 14, 2017
Cheap and cheerful, was my first hostel and it's not put me off! There's a lot of toilet/ shower rooms available so the walk of shame wasn't to bad! Clean enough must admit the curtains in room wasn't too shabby! But hot water had a tele which had not one English tv but free wifi thought out and the location of Reeperbahn is bob on! Would defo give it a go for first timers!

Good location but 1 member of reception needs help

Posted Apr 12, 2017 on Hotels
We stayed here for a stag party of 24 people. Great location to the Reeperbahn and close to the S bahn linking you to the rest of the city. only real complaint was the first receptionist who made me pay for the 12 rooms separately despite them being on the same booking. i therefore had 12 transactions fees which was unnecessary.

Should be renamed to "Never Again Hotel"

Gum on the floor, barely working elevator and most of the staff barely smiled. Nothing around besides "working girls". No sound isolation and extremely over priced. Do yourself a favour and stay away!

Great price to quality ratio, good location

Fast check-in, immediate check-out (you just have to throw your entry card in a box), TV sets in the private rooms (certainly, not that common for this type of hostels)
