Good hotel close to Vieux Quebec

Posted Aug 2, 2015
Pros: Rooms had good sound insulation. Did not hear anyone in the hallways or doors closing. Good air conditionning. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Location: Hotel is several blocks from old Quebec - with lots to great restaurants. Easy access to highway.
Roomy clean rooms.Great coffee shop inside the hotel. We brought our bikes & stored them in the hotel. Easy access to the bike path that runs along the St Lawrence.

Hi ! Thank you very much for taking the time to post your comments concerning your recent stay with us at the Best Western Plus City Center Quebec. Your feedback is very much appreciated and I can assure you that we use this information to do everything possible to always improve ourselves and create enjoyable experiences for each of our guests. I am very happy to know that you appreciated a lot our Cafe/Wine bar in the hotel. We are very proud of it and it's always nice to get good feedback on our services. As you have mentioned, several bike paths are near our hotel. That is why we offer the storage room where you can safely put your bike. Also, I would like to advise Expedia users, that our neighbor is getting a major makeover. In fact, a 20 story building and an underground parking is actually in construction at the Jacques-Cartier Place, promising to become the center stage of downtown Quebec. We are very excited about those great news. We work daily to minimize the construction impact on the high quality of service and sleep we always provide. Of course, noise could be louder from Monday to Friday, 7 am to 5 pm, but we are always available to answer all requests or any concerns you may have. Again, thank you for your review. It was a true pleasure to have you stay with us and we look forward to welcome you again at the Best Western Plus City Centre Quebec the next time you are in Québec City.

Nice hotel in Centre Town St. Roch. District

Greeted by a friendly valet and front desk staff. Excellent well furnished room. Wonderful cafe/wine bar located on the ground floor of the hotel, no need for Starbucks/Tims on this trip! Quick check-out with courteous staff who ensured that we had a great stay and welcomed us back again. Excellent valet service and on our way again!

Average hotel, not for family

Lot's of problem we faced. *No luggages off loading area. big problem for newly arrived. * No parking area for self driven car. * No support staff. We took all of our 6 luggages to our room and back ourselves. * No tissue papers in the room (only toilet tissues available) * Wifi (free one) disconnects every few seconds. *Buffet Breakfast selection not great. 4 items we can not take as they are pork related. also we paid for it.

Hi ! Thank you for this honest review concerning your stay at the Best Western Plus City Centre Quebec. I appreciate that you took the time to post it. We are happy that you enjoyed our convenient location and our great neighbourhood that is very entertaining. Within 2 minutes’ walk, our clients have access to many restaurants, shops and even theaters. I am disappointed to read that you didn’t expect the parking cost as we are taking every possible measures to be the most transparent and honest with all of our customers. In fact, there is a clear indication that we do have parking available for additional cost on our Expedia profile. I would also like to clarify that our valet parking is a service we offer and is absolutely not mandatory. The parking lot right next to the hotel is not owned by the hotel, as most of the different parking lots we use to park guests cars located 2 to 10 minutes walk from the hotel due to the scarcity of parking spaces available in the vicinity. We truly believe our 24$ per night valet service provides a simple and secure place for your car with unlimited in an out privilege. If you prefer self-parking, you may choose from one of the many public parking surrounding our hotel. Their prices may vary depending on the period of usage and total time spent. Besides, an indoor parking doesn’t guarantee more security than an outdoor parking. Unfortunately, as it is for every parking lot, no one can be fully protected against lost, theft or vandalism. However, please be assured that we take every reasonable precaution to safeguard the personal property of our guests and I can reassure you that our valet staff work very diligently and take great care of our guest's cars. Also, as mentioned previously in other comments answers, our neighbor, the Place Jacques Cartier, is getting a major make over. In fact, a 20 story building, indoor parking and public place is currently under rebuilding, becoming the centre stage of the Nouvo St-Roch neighborhood. The construction site is active Mondays to Fridays between 7 am until 5 pm, and thus, noise level could be higher than normal. We are actually taking all possible measures, and we have very capable staff present onsite 24/24, 7 days on 7 to ensure our guest the most quiet, enjoyable and comfortable stay possible. Again, thank you for your contribution, it was a true pleasure to have you stay with us and we hope you will visit us again the next time you are in Quebec City.

Walking distance to Old Quebec

Posted Jul 29, 2015
Pros: The staff were approachable and friendly. The restaurant was very accessible and spacious.
Cons: The cleaning staff didn't make one of the beds, perhaps because a suitcase (empty) was left on the bed. Towels were not properly replenished.
Location: Location was approx. 2-3 Kms from the Old City. Unique and old architecture is all around you. Château Frontenac being the centre piece of attraction.
We went to Quebec City to experience the history, architecture and culture of Old Quebec. The European flavour attracted me within the confines of my own country. Previously I heard that if you didn't attempt speaking French, people of Quebec City would not help. I found the people extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel staff were very accommodating. We stayed at Best Western. A few challenges occurred with the cleaning staff but overall a great experience and very close to many amenities. It always takes a while to acclimatize yourself and when you do, it is usually time to go home. One unique experience we enjoyed was painting our own wine glasses. My wife was looking for ceramic wine glasses for a long time and low and behold it was just around the corner. Also, you can make your own poutine at Poutineville. C'est magnifique!

I stayed 4 nights. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean, the water pressure in the shower was great, the staff were courteous and helpful. There are plenty of restaurants and cafes right nearby.

Hi ! Thank you for taking the time to post your review concerning your stay at the Best Western Plus City Centre Quebec. We are glad you enjoyed your stay with us. As the service, cleanliness is one of our most important priority and we are very proud to read that you enjoyed the quality of our establishment! I was pleased to share your good comments with our housekeeping staff, which strive daily to offer our guests the most comfortable stay as possible. Our location is also very central; according to Google Maps, there is actually 1.2 km (0.75 miles) that separates our property from the entrance of the Old City, so as it is uphill to go, we prefer to tell our guests that we are located 15 minutes by walk from the Old City. And then, to come back, it is about 10 minutes as you go down the hill.n As you mentionned, the Nouvo St-Roch is also very entertaining. On St-Joseph Street, main street of the district, there is a variety of restaurants, boutiques, bars and theaters. Neither of these services is more than five minutes walking away from the hotel! I am glad you enjoyed our location and that you took advantage of the hotel’s neighbourhood. I am proudly passing on your comments to the entire team, knowing that it will serve as an inspiration to continue our efforts in leading the industry in customer relation. Also, I would like to advise all Hôtels.com readers that our neighbor is getting a major makeover. In fact, a 20 story building and an underground parking is actually in construction at the Jacques-Cartier Place, promising to become the center stage of downtown Quebec.
