It was a horrific experience staying at Hanamitsu Hotel & Spa. I requested a hotel pick-up from the airport to the hotel. I requested this when booking online and I reconfirmed the pick-up the day before my trip over the phone. Yet, nobody came to pick me up from the airport. Even after making two phone calls to the hotel from the airport police booth and receiving assurance that somebody from the hotel will come to pick me up from the airport, nobody came. After, waiting outside in 40 degree C hot weather, I had to find my own cab to get to the hotel. The hotel manager was rude to me. She was a shrill confrontational woman, who was unapologetic for the whole fiasco with the pick-up from the airport. When I asked for a 'proof of stay', which only hotel staff can provide, the manager refused repeatedly. Even after trying to convince her on several different occasions, she refused. I finally, found a fellow traveler staying at the same hotel to convince the manager to give me the document. Since this is a document that Hotel.com cannot provide and only Hanamitsu Hotel & Spa staff can provide, I don't understand why the manager refused to provide this document. The condition of the bathroom was unsatisfactory. There was no hand soap. The washbasin had only hot water and no cold water. The quality of soap provided in the shower was of extremely poor quality. There was no shower curtain. The glass cups on the washbasin shelf were dirty with dried water spots.
