Excellent hotel in the heart of Santa Maria
This was a great hotel for us. Very good location (less than a minute from the beach but at a fraction of the cost of one of the resorts) and in the heart of Santa Maria. The room was spacious and very comfortable. The best thing about the hotel though was the staff. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. In the evenings when the restaurant and bar become a live entertainment venue they are engaging and entertaining with all of their guests, be they younger or older. They are a real credit to the hotel.

Can't believe more people don't stay here!
Everything about the stay was perfect except I wasn't aware of the fact that the hotel was not staffed 24 hours and no one answered the helpline. With this said, if you need a taxi for an early morning flight and you do not book in advance you will be in big trouble. Had I known this in advance, the end of my stay would have been less stressful.The hotel is lively and there is a bar underneath but for me this was perfect because I felt the party came to me. Actually it's more accurate to call this hotel more like a serviced apartment as the front desk is closed along with access to the lobby/gift shop at night thru the early morning.

Each room was individually decorated in a music theme with local artistry. It was very cleverly done. The cafe and restaurant were excellent and again very cleverly done. Above all the staff could not have been any more pleasant and accommodating. Loved The Ocean Cafe!

Great stay.
Amazing hotel. Great room in an original design. Very friendly and helpful staf. Excellent breakfast. Don't go to bed before 12 pm, but enjoy the music and dance in the café.

Thank you for your hospitality, ocean suites!!
Everyone is different, first thing first, if you are a light sleeper and would like to have your peace and quiet to sleep early, then this place might not be for you, as the live music goes til late and the bar downstairs is a very popular place in town. As a solo traveler, this place is great as it is right in the center of town and few steps away from the beach, choices of restaurants and services are plentiful. I like the friendliness of the bar and suite managers as well as their employees, always nice, kind and smiling. The room has rustic and modern twist to it and very spacious (I would say so as for a couple of people in the same room). Personally I like their attentions and care they showed to their guests, even the need of late check-in/out due to the flight schedules, they always tried to accommodate and help.

Fun place
Great place! Not fancy, but with a touch of art (at least my room). Spacious room, the design concept is quite unique and well done, comfortable bed, shower, etc If they fix the AC (works, but it is installed inside the closet - so, does not work sooo well) and train the staff to provide more local info, this place would be perfect.

Leisurely holiday!
Wonderful staff who were friendly and welcoming! A brilliant location and bar beneath. Breakfast was tasty! The beds weren’t too comfortable. The bathroom could do with more hooks to hang clothes. The TV reception wasn’t great to watch the World Cup games, lucky we didn’t need to stay in much. The Santa Maria beach was just behind the apartment. Really loved visiting Cape Verde. The dancing and music at Ocean Cafe was fabulous to watch, many tourists love to attend here. Pleased with the location and service above all. Great drinks menu! Appreciated the free drink for each guest for staying at the apartment.

Close to beach
Modern apartment in central position. Lovely Lady Janet met us and showed us our room . Tito Paris room we stayed in which is at the front and has a balcony,very noisy at nights as its a music bar so if you want peace and quiet its not for you .

+ The room was beautiful + Very close to the beach and the center + The staff were friendly + Free wifi - They told us free bottled water but it was only for one day!!! no replacement! - If you want to sleep around 9 or 10, you can't, because the music is veryyy loud from the cafe till 12 am

A gem in the mist of all the big hotels
If you want “privacy” this is the perfect place! Come and go as you please, very secure. Great accommodations, perfect location, accessible to everything, walking distance to the beach. Perfect for couples and groups of friends (would not recommended it for family with children). The Bar/Lounge downstairs seems to be the hot spot in town, every night! Live music, people from all over the world. And the decoration gets a thumbs up as well. We stayed in the Ildo Lobo suite, spacious and great view (not ocean view). Highly recommended.

Light sleeper? want good customer service avoid!
We stayed in their hotel, while the room was large and nice, it is just above the music bar so you wont get any sleep until around 2 in the morning and around 5 there is a construction site that appart from sunday will start up so you have 3 hours of possible silence. The aircon couldnt get the room very cold, and the service was bad continuously. The first girl Jeannette was lovely but this was quickly counteracted by her colleagues. When we bought an aloe vera get in the souvenier shop also run by the company we immediately went upstairs to our room and we found it was gone off and smelled. It was also semi liquid. On trying to return it and seeing it went out of date in february, the staff refused to take it back claiming it was fine though they recoiled at the smell. We had to give out and refuse to leave before we got our money back. They also were smirking and unhelpful. Added to the noise and gel incident they left our bags which they agreed to mind in an open bar by the door. Luckily we had no valuables in them.

Great hotel that is a few walks from the beach
We stayed at the ocean suites for about 2 days whilst we were in Sal (we traveled to other islands in Cape Verde) and I must say the rooms are just fantastic! The hotel staff are quite nice, and it does have a bar where you can get food in the morning and evening.

Really nice and comfortable
It has all that you need for a good holiday: close to the beach, polite staff and not far from all restaurants and cafes. In case you don't want to go somewhere there is a bar at the ground floor. Nice music, tasty pizza and a lots of coctails)

Il mio giudizio su questo Albergo è positivo, vincente la posizione a pochi metri dal mare e a pochi passi dalla via principale.Camere pulite .Inoltre tutti, dal proprietario alle signore dei piani agiscono per risolvere ogni questione. Particolare plauso ai ragazzi del bar ristorante (qualcuno di loro parla italiano). Unica vera pecca (per me) sono le suite sopra il ristorante dove c'è musica assordante fino alle 00:30...ma non per tutti è un limite!....io ritengo che si debba poter scegliere del proprio tempo, perciò quando prenotate e la pensate come me, scegliete le Suite lontane dal ristorante. anche italiano)piani

Eclectically designed (think American diner merged with local Ethno vibes) and surprisingly huge suite above a funky music place that, luckily, offered us a quiet and cozy rest after arriving very late in Sal. The Italian owners are paying a lot of attention to details, staff is relaxed and friendly so we had a very pleasant experience.

Super établissement au cachet unique, nous avons pris la suite élites avec vu sur la mer. L’hotel est à 50m d’une des plus belles plages de l’ile. Personnel très agréable et à l’ecoute.

Все понравилось. Идеальное расположение (Ocean Cafe - пожалуй самое центральное место города), стильный и просторный номер, качественная уборка. Но для любителей ложиться спать пораньше может быть шумно от Ocean Cafe, расположенном на первом этаже.

Como um grupo de 3 casais e com reserva antecipada de 1 mês ao chegarmos disseram que teríamos que ficar em prédios separados. Entretanto após nossa insistência em ficarmos juntos, sempre prestativos e educadíssimos, a equipe nos aceitos no ocean suites no prédio que fizemos a reserva. Hübsches Hotel in Strandnähe, sehr nette Leute, Design sehr ansprechend, sauber, ordentlich aber direkt über einem sehr lauten Pub. Schlafen war nicht möglich, so dass wir dazu ein anderes Hotel buchen mussten.

sentirsi a casa a 7 ore di volo dalla propria casa
abbiamo soggiornato due settimane nelle SUITE, e che dire è stato favoloso. Le suite sono grandissime dotate di ogni confort, arredate con attenzione nei minimi dettagli. la posizione è ottima, si trova a meno di 10 metri dalla fantastica spiaggia di santa maria ma allo stesso tempo nella piazza centrale del paese. la colazione è stata ottima ed abbondante. il personale del hotel (parla italiano) è stato fantastico, sempre pronto ad esaudire ogni richiesta e a coccolarti la sera con le serate a tema che organizzano nel OceanCafe (dove si può mangiare un ottima pizza) . Noi abbiamo lasciato un pezzo di cuore in questo posto, in quanto fuori dal italia e difficile trovare situazione come queste (ve lo dice uno che viaggia di continuo). lo consiglio a tutti e quando tornerò a Sal sicuramente tornerò qui. Quando la gente mette impegno in ciò che fa i risultati si vedono e l' OceanSUITE ne è la prova! complimenti a tutto lo staff.

In ordine al tema delle bottigliette d'acqua e delle capsule del caffè, informiamo che le stesse vengono fornite e titolo di cortesia e riposizionate su richiesta del cliente. In ogni caso nel, pub al piano terra, è disponibile una offerta ampia e articolata di bibite e cocktail di ogni genere che possono essere prelevati per approvvigionare il mini-bar della suite o per essere consumate sul posto. Durante il soggiorno del Signor Guido abbiamo chiesto più volte se avesse esigenze da soddisfare e se tutto fosse di suo gradimento e in ogni circostanza siamo stati costantemente rassicurati. Suites al top, staff migliorabile
Suite fantastica, noi avevamo la "Tito Paris", dedicata alla musica, curata nei minimi dettagli, in stile moderno e davvero originale. Ottimo il comfort, grande il balcone sulla piazza, bella anche la doccia. Unica pecca del bagno l'acqua che se si mette sul caldo diventa di colpo bollente e ci si può scottare: far attenzione. Posizione in pieno centro Santa Maria, con i suoi pro e i contro, tra cui un po' di chiasso la sera. La colazione offre panini e piatti stile americano, su ordinazione, con servizio un po' lentino. Personalmente avremmo preferito il classico buffet. Staff gentile ma il ragazzo della reception, alla nostra richiesta di poter lasciare la roba in camera fino alle 14.30 dell'indomani, non è stato in grado di dirci che sarebbero arrivati i nuovi ospiti (dicendo: "avvisate pure domani mattina alla mia collega ma non dovrebbe esserci nessun problema"). La mattina successiva, al contrario, la collega ci ha comunicato che avremmo dovuto lasciar la stanza entro le 12 per gli altri ospiti, cosa che ci ha costretti a fare le valigie in fretta e furia e portarle giù mentre la guida ci aspettava fuori perchè avevamo prenotato un tour alle 9. Ad averlo saputo prima ci saremmo organizzati con calma, avendolo chiesto esplicitamente per evitare ciò. In vacanza non è gradevole fare certe corse, con anche il rischio di dimenticare qualcosa. Il ragazzo avrebbe dovuto esser preciso. Al di là di questo problema, soggiorno soddisfacente e buon rapporto qualità/prezzo.

Gostei do tamanho do quarto, da higiene, e da sua centralidade em Santa Maria. Um baixo e ao lado funcionam bares com música ao vivo.

O local mais popular de Santa Maria
Pessoal muito simpatico. Quarto muito bem decorado. Provavelmente no bar mais popular da vila. A bebida oferecida no bar foi muito simpática

Schoon en prima locatie in santa Maria. Kamers zijn boven café. Erg luidruchtig en oordoppen zijn absoluut noodzakelijk.
