Also, only hand soap was provided—no shampoo or shower gel, even though there were towels. "This hotel really missed the mark on the basics I’d expect from a standard stay. There was a fridge, but you had to pay to actually use it. Even the communal iron required a deposit, and the toiletries were pretty much non‑existent. The room itself didn’t help much either. There were barely any power sockets, and the only two available were nowhere near the bed, which made charging anything overnight a bit of a faff. Breakfast was alright, nothing amazing, but decent enough. A bit more variety would’ve gone a long way. Overall, it’s a very average, no-frills hotel, which is fine if you just need a place to sleep, but don’t expect much more."

I was unaware that there was an alternative pool available, as no one had informed me that the pool adjacent to my studio was undergoing renovations. The check-in process was somewhat impolite. Additionally, I believe that essential amenities could have been provided, such as a tea towel in the kitchen, a proper knife, some toiletries. The air conditioning in the living area was not functioning. The location appears to be rougher than anticipated. Additionally, there was a letter stating that the current owner has been served with notice from an actual owner, and that all guests should refrain from making any further payments to them."

"We loved every part of our stay at the Elysium. It’s a beautiful hotel. Everything from the room, the breakfast, dining options to the pools, spa and wonderfully helpful staff was just spot on. A fantastic hotel which I cannot recommend highly enough. 30 minutes before my departure, I realised I had lost a pendant. We couldn’t find it immediately but on my return home I received an email to say it had been found and would be posted to me. The hotel went above and beyond, I’m extremely grateful and will be back for sure!"
