Great motel

A basic stay. Clean bedding and a good shower head. A noisy property. Some men argued late at night outside. It wasn’t a retreat for a quiet sleep. The traffic was very noisy, trucks got going at 5:30am. The floors weren’t properly clean. The eco friendly shampoos etc are to be applauded. There weren’t any frills, like chamomile tea for example. The staff were helpful and friendly and the breakfast was ok.

I'm a regular at the Matador and I love it. It's convenient for all things from shopping to eating. The staff are amazing. My appointments are only around the corner so I absolutely love my stays.

There were too many mosquitoes and nothing to kill them with. The furniture was too dark making the room feel oppressive. Breakfast included was a bonus.

Pretty average hotel,you get what you pay for. Air con is super noisy in the room. Breakfast is very basic. Location wise it’s great, the rest is ok.

Just a quick stopover between long drives. Clean and good sized room. Thoughtful snacks in our room for us. Late check in (7pm) so collected key from lockbox, no issues. There is a pool that we didn’t use and isn’t really advertised. Parking easy. Hotel is right in town with lots of eateries around for a quick dinner. Breakfast was basic but a lovely addition & free of charge too! East check out. We’d stay again if we were in the area!

Check-in was cursory at best and when we got to the room the key was very hard to turn in the lock. Continental breakfast was just some cereal, fruit from a can, some sliced processed cheese and ham with a few condiments and toast and marmalade. While the place was clean and neat it felt like the staff were just going through the motions and processing the guests with the minimum effort

Very happy with our stay at the matador. The room was spotlessly clean and was comfortable. Excellent location for walking to dining. Curtains would be nice to let some natural light in though not the end of the world.

While it is an older property, I liked how they used that to give it an old Spanish villa feel. The room was comfortable and surprisingly well stocked with plates and cutlery. The shower has fantastic water pressure and gets nice and hot for those who, like me, like to boil themselves. The staff were lovely and so helpful. The breakfast is basic, but sufficient. Overall, it was a good experience and we would definitely stay there again if we ever find ourselves in Sale.
