Great hotel, great staff, great location.Posted Nov 12, 2015
We had a very pleasant experience at The Hawthorne. The staff was very friendly, and told us about some of the local restaurant and shops that we had to check out. The one staff member even asked if we wanted a complimentary fridge brought to out room when he saw we had food with us. Just an overall great experience with this hotel and would definitely go again.

What a great place to stay !Posted Nov 4, 2015
Was a last minute decision to stay in Salem and are so glad we did. On check in were supplied with a bottle of water each, tea and coffee when required and after changing our initial room, a fantastic corner room with views of the common ! Extremely good value for money and would highly recommend the attached restaurant and bar, very good food !

Did what it said on the tinPosted Oct 7, 2015
Pros: Helpful reception staff, gave good dinner recommendation. Car parking was free and good wifi connection.
Cons: Staff in Tavern seemed to have too much to cover - felt resulting service was below par.
Reasonable stay at the Hawthorne. Expected room to be small and it was - just about manageable for a two night stay, but could be too cramped big staying longer.

Must stay place for downtown Salem .Posted Oct 7, 2015
We absolutely loved the location and the overall quality . Smack in the middle of everything . Easy to walk to all attractions and staff was very friendly . We didn't experience any ghostly encounters but I guess that's a good thing . :-)

Haunted at the HawthornePosted Sep 25, 2015
Pros: Charm, history.
Cons: Get the ghosts out
Location: Perfect location. Everything is within walking distance.
This historical hotel has alot of old charm. Great location. Very beautiful. Great staff. Tiny bathroom, beyond small. Here's the the big ghost in the room.......there was a ghost in the room. Room 525 haunted. Stayed up all night battling apparitions and unnatural occurrences. No sleep. Bed would have been comfy had there not been an unwanted visitor in it. I am speaking the truth. I see now, I should have heeded the warnings of past guests. I thought the haunting was just a silly farce. It was far from it.

traumhaftes, stilvolles Gilded Age- HotelPosted Sep 21, 2015
Immer Kaffee und köstliche Limonade for free.
