overpriced for what it is

Posted Aug 24, 2017
Pros: The location was good- a pleasant walk to the city centre, and nice views.
Cons: The ensuite bathroom- tiny, with cracked floor tiles and chipped paintwork. The downstairs corridor needed painting.
Location: We spent all day in the Cathedral Close- loads of interesting history and culture.
Stayed 2 nights. Room slightly cramped but great view. Little storage space but sufficient for short break. Poor bathroom. Too hot first night as beds had heavy duvets. Staff supplied alternative when requested. Efficient staff though one European waiter seemed to have some difficulty understanding the language. Excellent breakfast. Overall we had a pleasant stay.

Quaint hotel with beautiful view

Posted Jul 9, 2017
Didn't get to spend much time due to the short stay. Lovely place with a beautiful garden over looking a field of grazing sheep. Wish I had more time there.

Lovely hotel within walking distance to cathedral

Posted Jun 13, 2017
Pros: lovely room with breathtaking view, modern bath
Cons: nothing
Location: short walk to cathedral and cathedral close. On main road, free parking at hotel, easy to get in and get out.
Stayed in May 2017. Our room was fabulous. Overlooked the back garden, with view of cathedral spire. Meadows beyond with sheep, river with passing swans. Room had four poster bed, and bathroom was large and modern. Easy walking distance to cathedral. Charming hotel and would highly recommend.

Quaint

Bed was excellent, food was pretty good, but the sheep walking by the river outside our window in the morning really made it the quaintest place I've ever stayed.

Outdated and expensive

Posted May 22, 2017 on Hotels
Good location and big room however room was dated and needed redecorating. There was mismatched paint on walls, marks on doors and furniture. Lovely views of the river and the cathedral and you can easily walk into Salisbury. Not bad for an overnight stay, but was about twice the price of what it should have been.
