Great location & price. Room temps are pretty hot.

Pros: Meeting people from all over and sharing experiences with them. Comfortable and down to earth - not snobby.
Cons: Food can be less spicy.
Location: Great location-shuttle to Alta which is right there across the mountain's parking lot. We were so tired from skiing that we didn't have energy left.
This is a great place to meet people. Reservations are required for evening meals and you are seated at tables with others which helps you meet new people and enjoy their company. We met some wonderful people, skied with some and hope that we will see them again on future trips to the Peruvian. The room was rustic but comfortable and definitely clean which is all I really care about. The room was also very warm, but we just shut off the heater and opened the window to get real fresh air. The Peruvian also has an outdoor heated pool and two jacuzzis which are a real treat - especially after a hard day of skiing. The only complaint I had the entire week was that the food was a bit spicy. Let up on the pepper and hot spices and everything would be just great!

If you are a serious skier, this place is for you. Meals included which allows up to spend you days on the slope! They rent equipment, too - which is helpful. Free parking!

The Peruvian is all about eating, sleeping, and, most importantly, skiing.

The Alta style

Posted Jan 12, 2016 on Hotels
Typical Alta accommodations - room to sleep, American Plan, ski-in, ski-out,hearty food, boisterous bar. The Peruvian has been remodeled since my last visit. Anyone desiring luxury, nightlife, gourmet food, etc should stay down the road at Snowbird. Alta is for skiers and so is the Peruvian. The informal style is part of the hotel's appeal - I love it. No pretense, just homey and fun.
