Not a bad place to stay

Posted Sep 20, 2016
Pros: Shuttle
Cons: Breakfast and turn on the A/C in the hallways
Hallways were not air-conditioned. When breakfast ends, they pull up everything so when they say 9:30AM, Get there by 9:15. Meal was mediocre. Good shuttle system to Airport. Rooms were small but clean. Not bad for the $.

Free Airport Shuttle

Posted Sep 15, 2016
Pros: Dog-friendly
Cons: Needs a remodel, lose the breakfast tickets.
Location: Salt Lake City, free shuttle to and from airport. Do with that what you will.
Wanted a hotel with a free shuttle to pick up a family member, so my choices were limited. This hotel was in the back of a long line of better hotels, that just looked way better from the outside. Once inside, everything was eh... Breakfast was nothing special and it was kind of annoying hearing, "ticket" in a mundane voice every time someone walked in, on top of having to find your own when you are still only half awake. Seems like a silly policy for the minimal choices they held for breakfast.

Nice hotel, nice breakfast

Posted Sep 4, 2016
Thought it was very odd that no one had name tags on. That being said, the layout of the hotel is kind of odd.. But it's grounds are beautiful. The breakfast was great.

The hotel was okay, but somewhat dated. Layout of hotel was poor. It was nice to have a restaurant attached and open late.

close to airport

Posted Aug 29, 2016
The hotel location was close to the airport and downtown Salt Lake City. The staff was friendly and professional and check in was easy. Breakfast was nice, and the area kept clean. The rooms were fair, but dated with a musty smell

Worn out hotel

Posted Aug 25, 2016
Pros: Breakfast was tasty and very nicely displayed. Pool and grassy areas were nicely maintained.
Cons: Work on service issues. And new carpeting.
Location: Just passing through but enjoyed the contrast of the salt against the sky and mountains.
Nonsmoking room smelled of cigarette smoke (very prevalent odor). Asked to change rooms but the lady forgot us. I had to go to the front desk to get the room changed. Noticed a spider on the ceiling. Thought it was dead but it was gone in the morning. Roommate was not happy with my hotel selection and she did not seem to feel safe. Maybe because the extra lock needed fixing and the maintenance man did not finish the job (but he did show us how to set the bolt lock.

Very dirty bathroom. There were what appeared to be pubic hairs all over the bathtub. The bathroom floor had a sticky feel to it. The cleaning people left behind dirty rags. The carpet under the desk and behind the nightstand was filthy, like they don't move furniture to vacuum under it. I was not impressed with the cleanliness at all.

We had a reservation there on Aug 9. Upon arrival @approximately 11:30 PM due to a delayed flight, they told us they were full, but had booked us a room at Econolodge Inn in Sandy, UT which was approximately 20 miles away. Very inconvenient. Our stay on Aug 18 was very pleasant. The room was adequate and service very good.
