Desk Clerk needs better training

We stay at Little America every few months. It is always clean comfortable and quiet. This trip was to the doctor's for knee problems and my wife was on crutches. I asked the clerk for a room close to doors with a short walk from any parking lot, and specifically mentioned that my wife was on crutches. He said no problem and gave me keys. If he had tried I don't think he could have picked a worse room. It was admittedly at one end of a hall near an outside exit, but that exit had a set of stairs with at least 20 steps. The other exit/entrance was at the opposite end of the building from the room. When we got in the room it was the typical very nice Little America mini suite with a king bed. Spotlessly clean and a good sized TV. The shower/tub however was a sunken tub that was at least a foot below the floor level of the bathroom. Impossible for a person on crutches to use, and pretty difficult for me to use with no crutches, but 64 year old knees. We could have left the room, walked down the hall again, and then got another room and walked to it, but figure we would save little beyond the ability to take a shower so we did not bother to try and change rooms. The clerk blew it on this one. When I checked in he was in the middle of a big yawn. I guess he just didn't care to put much effort into getting us a suitable room. Think handicapped!!!!! Crutches!!!! Old!!!
