Right at base of canyons. Good location for skiing

Posted Mar 1, 2017
Pros: Managers mixers on Monday and Tuesday
Location: Skiing was close by and restaurants were w/I walking distance.
Hotel staff very efficient. Had issue with TV, fixed w/i 1/2 hour. Door closer failed, repaired in same time frame. Great staff!

Great for a ski vacation

Posted Feb 27, 2017
Pros: The staff were helpful and friendly, the breakfast was great and the location could not be beat.
Cons: I can't think of anything I would improve.
Location: It's located close to the Cottonwood Canyons and four incredible ski resorts. It snowed everyday we were there - we were in heaven.
The hotel is near the base of Cottonwood Canyon and a free shuttle to the ski bus which runs every 15 mins at peak times. The staff could not have been nicer and more accommodating and being able to buy our lift tix at the hotel was a big plus. The lift tix also included the bus pass, so it was super convenient. We'll be returning there for sure.

Skiing and boarding can be exhausting and we are glad that we could provide a place to recharge during your ski vacation. We had another great snow storm - come back soon and use up some of that powder! Thank you for sharing your experience.

Great hotel for the price, not as close to ski bus

Posted Feb 17, 2017
Room was nice, free breakfast was great to have. The hotel is about a 15 minute walk UPHILL to to ski bus stop. The map can be a bit deceiving. With that in mind its definitely a great and cheap alternative to staying at a mountain base if you're looking to ski.

Thank you for sharing your experience. We love to host skiers and snowboarders! You are right, the ski bus park and ride is about a 3 minute drive but walking can take much longer. This year, the bus to Snowbird and Alta actually stops at the hotel in the morning and in the evening. But if you want to ride the bus to Brighton and Solitude, you'll need to go to the park and ride stop. Next time, check with the front desk for the bus schedule and also our hotel shuttle that runs in the morning and evening to help you get to the bus stop easier. We appreciate your business and hope that you'll return soon!

Another good stay at a Residence Inn. Staff were some of the friendliest people I've met in the hotel industry.

A Great Staff

Posted Feb 7, 2017
Pros: Location. Staff.
Cons: Could use a facelift, but everything is clean and well maintained.
Location: Shuttle up to the park and ride, then cash-only buses to the resorts. plenty of food and groceries in walking distance. Uber from airport is $30.
The location is perfect for skiing/snowboarding trips, especially if you're there to ride and not brag about being in the tourist trap that is Park City. Solitude, Snowbird, and Brighton have sooo much better terrain. The staff at the hotel is fantastic; I hurt my knee on the first day and could barely walk. One of the clerks brought TV dinners, Tylenol, ice, and water to my hotel room. that saved my trip; by the 3rd day I was back on the snow. Greatly appreciated that. The hotel is exceptionally clean. It is a little dated but that's not a big deal. My room had a kitchenette, microwave, and a full size fridge. They have a good breakfast in the morning too. Highly recommended.

Good location To ACCESS 4 Canyon Mountains

Posted Dec 30, 2016
Pros: Very service oriented and well run ship--clean, tidy and very homey feel.
Cons: Knowledge of transportation esp. any involving public transportation which is beyond SUB-PAR.
Location: Lots of restaurants nearby and good access to expressways to get to ski resorts.
Very good all around. Clean, relatively economical and great amenities--pool, hot tub, gym, firepit, breakfast and even light dinner served early evening. Mr. Alan Jacobson a very good GM & Leani in day & Peggy at night are great--Peggy especially up & coming superstar--very service oriented as is most staff-would def. stay there again.

We appreciate the time you took to share your experience. We are lucky to be located so close to Brighton, Solitude, Alta, & Snowbird. The Ski bus system was revamped this year by UTA and it has been challenging as they worked out kinks in their system. As you mentioned, we are very lucky to have Leani, Peggy and Alan. Marriott has exacting standards and they are shining examples of the customer service Marriott is so well known for. Thank you for staying with us!

Pros: Location, view
Cons: Windows dirty
Location: A few restaurants in walking distance. Great access to 215.
Wonderful, spacious Room. Super comfortable bed, strong shower pressure, great view of the mountains. Only thing not perfect, Windows VERY dirty, affected the lively view, and room needed dusting.
