Not the cleanest...
Room smelled like a Chinese Restaurant. Very pungent odor. Bedding was old and tattered, rugs were dirty, and towels were old and tattered.

Comfortable and convenient
The room was very spacious and comfortable. We could strap on our skis outside the door and skate over to the lift within a couple minutes and could ski right up to the front door on the way out. Very convenient.

Great skiing getaway
Excellent location for skiing on a mountain that has great runs and short lift lines. The people and staff were very friendly and helpful. The unit was nice. It was well stocked. We had a little trouble with the wifi as the network that was supposed to be ours didn't come up as an option on our phones or laptop. However the staff provided us with an alternate network and password that sufficed. The village is small and quaint, but for a 4 day weekend excursion, it provided enough variety of eating options. The store provided basics, but I would suggest stopping at a grocery store in SLC if you really want to stock up on food options. The spa was wonderful. The leg restoration treatment is exceptional after a few days of skiing to rejuvenate those quads. Overall, a very pleasant time

Great Location / Excellent Slopes
The Slopes are fantastic. The proximity to the slopes is wonderful. Can't beat walking to the lifts. The kids loved the heated pool. The condo resort staff were friendly and helpful. Be sure to buy your groceries, beer, wine, and liquor before you drive up the mountain. There are no stores on the mountain. The choice of restaurants are limited. There is an buffet that is super expensive and a "finer" dining restaurant that doesn't have enough wait staff. We were told that we would have an hour wait for dinner when most of the tables were empty. Our master bed's mattress must of been picked up from a Motel 6 dumpster. Unbelievably low quality. My wife moved to the couch and I was stuck with sleepless/restless nights. I believe the condo's are individually owned, but still. Have some standards...

Great ski access for a normal hotel room
We spent a night here over a ski weekend. Nice room, great location in the village with easy access to the ski runs. But, for the price, doesn't feel very luxurious. Just a nice, not great, hotel room but the location and amenities almost make up for the high price.

Could have managed situation better
We stayed at the Solitude condominium resort from 2/18 to 2/20 and the morning of the day we were to check in the entire lodge lost power due to a heavy winter storm with high winds. They only ran a generator for a restaurant to run but all of the condos were without heat and hot water and ability to cook or refrigerate anything. Glow sticks were passed around so that people could navigate around hallways and flashlights were given to us around 11pm when we asked for them (they were not given to us when we checked into the room). Keys were not made for us until the next day when the power returned so each time we had left the resort (which was often because there was no reason for us to stay in the dark), we had to be let back in. In general, we felt that the resort could have handled the power outage a little better for its customers. When the pilot light went out in the gas fireplace in our room (the only working source of heat!) I was basically told that it was an easy process that I could do myself and no one was sent to help me out. I eventually did figure it out, but not after about 20min of reading the directions and hoping for the best when I turned the gas on and off. We had to ask, at checkout, for a refund, instead of being offered it right off the bat when we were checking in to a situation that was almost guaranteed not to be resolved until the next day. Thankfully, and in a very redeeming way, we were reimbursed the first night's stay.

Sleepy Solitude is for real
This place is counter to the big resort experience. Lovely little village, super friendly staff everywhere. Reminds one of a chalet in the Alps. Condos in the Powderhorn where nice, clean and felt pretty new. My 8 year old daughter proclaimed the ski school was the best she's ever been to (her 4th). No lines, plenty of amenities, relatively inexpensive, it's a good value.

Solitude resort in March.....nothing better...EVER!
One of the best ski vacation spots i've ever been. Accomodations were impecible! Had everything we could have ever wanted in a ski vacation: Great room with comfortable beds, great view from room, even better; three hot tubs to chose from (two pool side# and one more private separate from pool in a secluded section of property. Skiing is within walking distance #150 yds#. In March #hush hush....don't tell anyone!) there is great snow fall and no....."I MEAN NO LIFTLINES"! Not huge steeps, but one of the best familiy ski locations in all of Utah! We'll definately be back! : ) : )

Solitude says it all
This is our 3rd stay at Solitude & have stayed in the condos & townhouses. We love this mountain & resort. If you expect a lot of hoopla & action this is not the place. The focus is on the powder & outdoor activities. Great for kids, quiet, lovely. Excellent ski school, love the yurt & snow shoeing trails. There is never a line for lifts. Spa is great. Honeycomb grill has outstanding food & drink. Don't expect après ski, etc. We made half our meals in the condo which is also great for kids. Really nice families- kids made friends in ski school & at the pool/club. We'll be back!

Absolutely enjoyable stay. We were there during the summer so the resort was quiet. Just the way we like it. The grounds are beautiful. The staff were friendly and helpful. The condos are large and comfortable. We liked the full kitchen. The beds were very comfortable. The trails into the woods from the resort were amazing. We saw multiple deer and a couple of moose on our walk. We will definately be back!

Perfect spot out of the city
Despite the 45 mins drive to Salt Lake City Convention Center, the stay turn out pretty good. Scenery and peace come together in the mountain. Perfect for those who likes cycling or a nice place to rest. The room with Kitchen makes it perfect compare to downtown hotels.

My Salt Lake Home away from home
We came to town for a wedding, during perhaps the hottest weekend of the year. Solitude, on top of the mountain, was a perfect 25-30 degrees cooler than down in the valley. Beautiful cabin like feel, without the cheesiness. Great off season rate, free parking, amazing pool. We did stay in a condo and it would have been nice to have more frequent room service (only stays over 4 days get room service). The pool was only open until 10, and it would have been nice to have adult hours late night, but I do understand the liability issues with doing that. Saw 4 moose (off in the distance) and ate at a cute-sie little spot only a mile down the road (silver fork lodge I believe?) Will come here again! (and again and again)...

Summer stay with no A/C
This is clearly a winter destination with little to no thought about summer guests. The rooms have no A/C and no airflow so it was very stuffy and hot. We ended up buying a fan at the store to make it bearable. The spa is also closed in the summer and most of the restaurants as well so you will need the kitchen to survive. The pool area was very nice and a relief from the heat. It rained most nights we were there which was fine except they have satellite so staying in to watch a movie on TV didn't work since the it would go out all the time. The place is very beautiful and clean but just pay attention to what time of year you are visiting so you know what to expect.

Village at Solitude
This is a well maintained property adjacent to the Solitude Ski Resort. Each of the buildings at the village are within " convenient walking distance of the slopes allowing for "ski in/ski out" access. We did not take advantage of the pool or hot tub but did appreciate the storage lockers for our skis and the free underground garage parking. There are no hidden resort fees and Hotels.com provides a discount over the rate offered by the resort website. This was our second year there and we plan to return.

It was perfect for our needs. Clean, quiet and close to Brighton, where I prefer to ski when I'm in the area. I did not visit any of the village's facilities but it has pretty much everything within walking distance, be it a pizza place or a creamery. Very close to Solitude lifts, as well. We would definitely stay there again.

Not located as advertised.
Hotel.com ad states that the facility is 5.3 miles from the heart of Park City. Only true if your are a navigationally talented crow flying in clear weather. The 11 mile road is closed from 11/1 until 4/30 of each year due to weather/snow. The other road takes 45-50 minutes and 1/4 of the way would be impassable had the weather been snowy. Totally deceptive and no cancellation over Sundance Festival dates...poor form!!! The facility was clean, well appointed and great for winter sports. The condo did have a stale smell upon entry and needed a good airing. Good choice for group or family ski trip.

Very comfortable place to set up for a week.
The location was fantastic and the staff had a lot of time for us and went into quite a lot of detail during check-in about where to go, where to ski and what current ski conditions were like. Our condo felt like home, it was super cozy with two TVs, full kitchen, enormous fridge and oven and a very large comfortable bed. Everything we needed was there. The only negative points I can think of is that we only had our room serviced once in our 7 night stay (you could pay for an additoinal service) and there weren't any recycling bins.

Incredible family ski vacation
Solitude is a wonderful place to take the kids skiing. The condo was beautiful, with everything we needed (2 adults, 3 kids), it even had a washer and dryer which came in handy. The village is beautiful, everything is a short walking distance, and the people working there couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. Ski school was enjoyed by our kids, and they progressed very fast. The best part, no crowds! (although at some points I wished for a little waiting time before having to get on the chair and down the mountain again) It was small enough that the kids felt safe venturing on their own, and we felt comfortable letting them do so. Equipment rental and buying lift tickets was a breeze, you even get discounts for staying there. When you get tired of skiing, they have an ice skating rink, entertainment for the family, and wonderful hot tubs and a big heated pool. Overall, an amazing experience, I would go back in a heart beat!

Our unit was clean and well maintained. There is a well appointed kitchen with all the things you need to prepare meals yourself or you can try one of the small handful of eating establishments in the village. We ate at Kimi's Bistro and had an apres ski beer at the Thirsty Squirrel. We look forward to returning to both on a future visit. All of the buildings are withing easy walking distance to the Apex chair lift (even in ski boots!). The staff at check in and check out were helpful and friendly and there is someone available around the clock to help with any problems you may have.

The hotel front desk staff was not too friendly. When we were there, the pool closed down for 48 hours due to an "incident" of poop in the pool. It may be policy, but I now public pools close down for one hour after shock treatment in the pool. No pool spoiled the weekend for the kids.

Very helpful staff. Convenient to skiing. Well appointed rooms. The Solitude Club was excellent! The only drawback with the limited access to a grocery store. Without a car, we had to rely on the hotel's small and very expensive supply of food items. We could eat out cheaper than we could buy and prepare food in our condo.

Amazing Village in Solitude.
Amazing lil village area. Everything is self contained Great condominiums. We even left a warm entry in the unit's visitors journal. Clean and fully stocked condo it's too bad we couldn't fully utilize all of the amenities in the unit and on site (washer and dryer, complete kitchen, skating rink, arcade). Friendly staff, although following check in, the employee informed us to go to the wrong parking structure which led us to the wrong room. Colleagues and I needed accommodations during the Sundance Film Festival. This location was affordable and able to fit 5 people comfortably (6 max) with the king sized bed, pull out sofa, and full in the 2nd bedroom. The fireplace was a cozy touch. We were drawn to it for the price and location (5 miles from screening venue) However, if you are booking during the winter months, BE AWARE that local access roads are SEASONALLY CLOSED and will turn a 5mile trek into a 40mile haul. I would for sure recommend this to any frequent winter sportsman or woman and wish that myself could have taken advantage of the lifts and slopes.

Beautiful setting with average accommodations
To have an average experience there in that setting is poor management. The hot tub is available only in the afternoon, the theatre room was availabe during the Super Bowl except with no food or drink?? Have a little flexibility.
