Over priced hostel styel hotelPosted May 23, 2013 on Hotels
I would not recommend this hotel to anyone with current room pricing. It is definitely not a three star hotel. There is no elevator with too many steps. There is no restaurant onsite for breakfast. The room furnishings are very spartan and old. This is a backpacker hotel quality but with upscale pricing.

Very friendly hotel next to promenade/beachPosted Apr 13, 2013 on Hotels
Owner Peter couldn't be nicer or more helpful. Rooms kept to high standard. There's no parking which is only slight downside, have to pay for parking on street but this is fairly cheap.

Brilliant, very friendly, better than we expectedPosted Feb 20, 2013 on Hotels
We loved our stay, the location was perfect, car parking was free, the room we had was great for us, views to the shops and cafe's but still quiet in the room, on our first night we ate in the adjoining restaurant-The Black Cat, very friendly and good food (Tapas). In the morning we had breakfast at Lohan's, opposite the hotel, during the day we went shopping in Galway and visited the museum in the evening we went to our friends 40th party in Oslo's bar just over the road. On Sunday we travelled back to Dublin to visit the Guinness Storehouse and do more shopping at the Jervis Centre, followed by lunch at "The Church" before making our way back to the Airport. We have had a lovely 3 days in Galway, it was our first visit and we are planning to go back and do more touring around Ireland. Lastly I would also like to say that Peter the Hotel Manager is absolutely fantastic and he went the extra mile to make our stay extremely enjoyable.....he's Australian and the best and I know as I have stayed in hundreds of Hotels.

Excellent staff and decent hotel.Posted Sep 3, 2012
Cons: Road noise
The staff were lovely. The road was a little noisy but that was no reflection on the hotel but on the location we wanted (very central to Salthill and with easy access to Galway and road to Connemara). Wifi worked throughout the hotel with no usual annoying "no internet conection" message being displayed as soon as you walk away from reception which is the norm in so many hotels! Room was thoroughly cleaned. Parking was on-street, but admitedly free.
Friendly owner, good location and clean roomPosted Apr 26, 2012 on Hotels
The owner, Peter, was very helpful and friendly and couldn't do enough to ensure I got on alright. The room was very clean and comfortable. I was staying in a room above a bar but as I was out quite late I didn't hear a thing when I got back to the room to sleep. No breakfast but there are a number of lovely coffee shops in the area, plus it is so close to the beach so why not just grab something in a local shop and stretch out by the ocean for a morning snack?

Härlig hotellägarePosted May 1, 2013 on Hotels
