Close to main attractions. Terrible breakfast.

Pros: Location, onsite parking (charged) and rooms were a good size.
Cons: Fire the french barman - he is the worst & terribly rude. Bar area is not nice - an afterthought of poor design. Breakfast need drastic improvement.
We booked several rooms at the hotel and despite sending in all details prior, they were unprepared for our group upon arrival. The rooms are clean and beds comfortable. However - the bar is cold and unwelcoming. Simply nasty and the barman was atrocious! He was so rude, it was a struggle to actually get served. Then when we complained - he kept blaming it on someone else and would not leave us alone to enjoy our drinks. The breakfast is a joke, the coffee was stale and mass produced - for €18 per person I would have expected a better quality. It is a shame - the location is good and the hotel could be a great place to stay.

Good hotel and excellent location for walking into the Alt Stadt. Perfect time of year to visit - with the Christmas market in full swing. Breakfast was great - worth the extra cost - and the staff were very helpful to cater for a vegan breakfast. A kettle in the room would have been nice - but think that is perhaps our English norm, not the Austrian!

Nice Hotel- but hard beds and re-sold our room

Cons: Softer beds- they felt like a slab of concrete.
We had booked two rooms, and when we arrived they had re-sold one of our rooms and put four adults in a three-person room. They were fully booked for the night, so they had to get a roll-away from another hotel to accommodate us. The front desk person worked hard to do so, but it's not right that they did this. I had the confirmation showing two rooms and was told I didn't have to re-confirm ahead of time. Additionally, the bed was super hard (might as well of just slept on the floor). and uncomfortable. The air conditioning didn't cool the room down at all. For the price of this hotel, I was disappointed with the room overall. Wouldn't stay there again.

Easy bus ride to central Salzburg. Rooms spacious and quiet. Lovely outlook over on site chapel. Maitre de in restaurant excellent. A couple of desk staff a little ho hum and one breakfast waiter could improve manners.

Pros: location
Cons: aircon could be improved.
Location was pretty good and the building looked great but the room was of average quailty, the aircon unit was loud and did not work very well.

Ok for a short stay

Pros: Included breakfast and wifi. Clean rooms.
Cons: Unfriendly staff at times. Competing with conference and wedding guests for parking
Location: As described 15 minute walk outside Salzburg, but an easy walk or bus journey
Hotel was clean, but staff were not very friendly at times. There was a wedding and a couple of conferences going on which whilst they did not interfere with us too much, they did make parking difficult and getting a drink at the bar too. There was quite a bit of noise from these people which you could hear in the rooms, but it did die out at about midnight. Overall not a bad stay. The restaurant food was nice, the breakfast was definitely Continental and might not suit some British tastes. The location was about a fifteen minute walk into town as described. This was an easy walk and there are plenty of buses too. Having hired a car it felt like a competition to get a parking space some days, but at least there was on site parking You can certainly do a lot worse than this hotel and a key benefit is the included breakfast not offered in other hotels unless you pay about £20 per day when we booked.Another plus was the free but adequate (low speed) Wifi...high speed costs more. I would go back again but probably as a shorter stay.
