Location was excellent and the room was large, especially by European standards. Had a wifi and TV issue which was fixed by the next day. Staff worked hard to fix that evening, even the owner got involved, but it was just one of those things that couldn't get fixed without some technical expertise.
The room was great except it had no AC. which wasn't an big issue with the nice alpine breezes and a pedestal fan...ceiling fans would have been better for us but the pedestal fan got the job done.

I stayed four nights with my daughter. We had two breakfasts which initially seemed a tad expensive at 15€ but they gave vouchers for 2€ off each then you start to consider around 2-3€ for a coffee most places & it's not a bad price. Choice was good with plenty of bread rolls, cold meats, bacon, eggs, fruits, yogurts, cereals etc.
We walked to and from the centre of Saltzburg but there were buses available and at a very reasonable price.
The sauna & steam room seemed to be virtually for our own personal use as I only saw one other person in there.

From the time we arrived to the end we of our 3 night stay we had a pleasant experience. The front desk staff were friendly, professional and very helpful - and is staffed 24 hours.Nice room and good location - within walking distance to the sights. Take advantage of the breakfast - its about 12 Euro but to me worth it -very good buffet breakfast and friendly staff working the room. Friendly, comfortable, convenient location, and did I forget to say friendly.

Arrived early at hotel. We knew our room probably would not be ready, but wanted to leave our luggage and explore the city. We came back a few hours later and inquired about our room. Got an eye roll from the male hotel staff. Each time we interacted with him after that, he seemed annoyed and not interested in being friendly. I noticed him interacting with several other guests and he did not seem to change his attitude with them either.
Room was classic and well maintained. It was spacious and the beds were comfortable. It was also clean.
However, the shower, no matter how you turned the shower head, sprayed water all over the floor. We noticed that there was a large drain the the floor of the shower area, and after showering, we understood why it was there.
We ate there once. The waiter was very friendly and attentive. We ate in the garden area, which was very enjoyable.

Hotel located near the central station and not too far from the old city. Breakfast was good and tasty (love the bacon) That's the only 2 good things about this hotel.
Our bed mattress seem like they've been run over by the 10 wheeler a few times, they were thin and very uncomfortable. The room we had was long but narrow but what was even smaller was the shower, if you're a big guy leave the screen opened. I'd still recommend this place to person who's not picky about room condition and get location in exchange.
