It was a wonderful time we had at the hotel. It is easy to access with public transportation and the staff very kind. The bedrooms were comfortable and very clean. Loved it.

Limited shower accessories , room is spacious but no table that could do some drawing . Breakfast is below average, and not free . Parking is free . But there is. Good restaurant nearby the hotel .

The property was good clean and well located but the reception staff was not welcoming non guiding non helping. I was very surprised by the behaviour. We had come here expecting that we will take their advice regarding local sight seeing and transport but the staff seen to get annoyed. It was the only bad experience during our wonderful Austria tour and thiswas unfortunately our first day of trip

The room was clean except the toilet had some suspicious fluid on it. Service was very poor. We arrived shortly before 10pm when their reception desk was closing so they didn’t want to let us in. They told us to check the box outside for our key. When we opened the box our key was not inside so we went back to the desk and were told they were closed even though three staff members were sitting there fooling around. They were annoyed when they had to give us our key. Poor service but the room was fine.

Not great
The hotel was ok but not in a convenient location. The wifi did not work in the room and only in the lobby. The housekeeping started cleaning rooms at 7am and were very loud, shouting, dropping the keys and slamming the doors. Would not stay again.

We travelled with three adult family members and were accommodated with individual beds as opposed to a roll-out mattress, which was nice. Free parking was a major plus as well as the relative short travel time to Salzburg city center.

Nice hotel
Plenty of parking and a great sized room, in a good location. Paid extra for breakfast which was a bit disappointing - €6 for a very basic breakfast especially as we had paid €5 to use the kitchen area for the stay (we should have just bought breakfast stuff ourselves). The room itself was good and everything in working order. Would still use the hotel again but would not pay extra for the breakfast.

A very nice hotel but little bit faraway
This is a very clean, comfortable and spacious hotel. It’s good for two people to share, better than other cheap but small hotels. But it’s a little bit far away from centre. We have to take the tram, which is a little bit troublesome, especially when you we have heavy luggage!

Shinny hotel with little heart
No toiletries provided Staff was rude Gave €6 for breakfast and come to know only it includes tea, 1 bowl cereal. No bread or egg. No other option. We upgraded by paying extra €3.5 and they tod us to go to next hotel breakfast area attached to this hotel. There were no fresh fruits there. Wifi signals were not coming in room. Had to sit outside in hall to use mobile.

The staff was helpless.
The nearest bus stop and train station were about 700m.It was ok for me but the most importance was the staff were helpless. All staff could not explain the transportation clearly. They did not have a map that could show its location and the nearerst bus stop or train station. They did not ever try to draw a map for easier understanding. The bed sheet were very old, flaky and rough. Shower head holder was broken.

Nice hotel
The hotel was so good. It was clean and really comfortable. The staff are also very friendly. It's location is like 15 minutes walking from the central station in Salzburg. I really recommend this hotel.

Amazing large room. Excellent price. Nice building and good location. Limited WiFi. Students stay here so noisy all night and then alarm going off in room next door for about an hour in the morning (probably cause got drunk). Reception was friendly but not extra helpful - I needed to print receipt because they could not give me a receipt for the actual price I paid for my admin (ie. with commission added) and they wanted to charge me to print it. Breakfast was a shocker. No one explained what is only for the students. Lady shouted at me for my breakfast token, told me off for trying to take a bottle of water (she said for the students), told me I may take an apple, and she literally chased me out the breakfast hall when I tried to take a coffee outside. Really! No one needs that as a paying guest.

Stopover prior to flight home next day.
We holidayed in the south of Austria and rather than make an early start to get the late morning flight home, Expedia helped select this hotel close to Salzburg airport and city. The hotel's located in a northern suburb and the 20min walk into the city centre advised by receptionist was more like 35min (2.7k). There is a bus option but that's 10min away. Couple of eateries in the area but other than that, it's a trip into town. This is more of a student hostel than hotel. Ok for what we wanted but one night was enough. In hindsight, I wished I'd given this part of our trip more thought and selected a more comfortable and convenient hotel.

good hostel type accommodation. room was a good size and ensuite bathroom. no kettle in the room though. kitchen facilities available - key from reception with a deposit. Not enough locked fridge boxes and kitchen equipment limited. not great for buses and a 25 minute walk from centre of salzburg. walk was along the river though so was ok. thankfully the heatwave had passed as there was no fan in the room or air conditioning.

Price of a hotel, service of a hostel
Overall experience: Bad! Check-in: The check-in time is 3pm which was too late. We reached the place around 1 and requested for an early check-in which they said wasnt possible. We saw 3 more guests sitting in the lobby waiting to check-in as well. With checkout time as 10am and check-in at 3pm and no 24 hr reception the service was disappointing. No bathroom cleaning: Further, the bathroom towels werent replaced and were still lying wet when we reached hotel in the evening. Infact, the cleaning team didnt even enter the bathroom. Only the bed was made and we were forced to use the old, wet towels. Further, no toiletries were provided. Location: The place is quite far from Salzburg Hbf and no bus station nearby. Overall we had a bad experience during our 2 days stay at hotel and would not recommend it at all. It lacks basic amenities and you can get much better facilities in a hostel.

It is as advertised, and was perfect for what we were looking for. We had a room with a view of the fortress in the distance, and walked in and out of the city (probably took 30-45 minutes each way).

Nice location, quite area, friendly staff. But looks like a dorm not hotel. Room set up is good for students: equipped with bunk beds and couple of desks and lots of storage lockable shelves. Not comfortable as a hotel for families with kids.

Great stay to explore Salzburg
The hotel is simple as it is student accommodation once the summer season is over, but the room was comfortable for us, a family of four. It was fairly close to a bus stop and easy to get to the centre of Salzburg. Free parking was a great blessing because there is no long term street parking in the city.

The house is located in the north of Salzburg, about 30 minutes (>2 km) walk to the historical city center. The room provided is in a dormitory building shared with large groups of students. The cleanness can be an issue, long hair on the floor, half full trash… The only good thing is free parking. Overall speaking, not recommended.

Clean, tidy and close to transport
Kolpinghaus gave me a very spacious and clean room with nice linen and excellent service. There is a shared kitchen on each floor and there are also desks in the rooms. The hostel is a ten minute walk from the nearest bus station which then takes three minutes to central station and around ten to fifteen to the city centre. You can buy tickets on the way for cheaper than on the bus at the local Tabak. There is also a supermarket across the railway tracks which was convenient.

WOW loved the hotel! Clean and spacious! PRICE was Wonderful!! Great Value! Two observations. First, woman at front desk was not helpful. Second, the mattresses are very thin! Could feel the wood slats underneath. Both items easily overlooked for the value and cleanliness of the room. I will stay here again! Great location was very QUIET and LOVED the ample parking! If you have a car stay here! Great scenic walk along the river found at hotels front door.

In general, the stay was nice, welcoming mull-wine, ginger bread (we visited this place during Christmas Holiday), hospitable and informative reception. However, the cleanness can be improved. The pillow was stinky which has very strong sweat smell. The floor was not clean, you can feel it with your bare feet. As long as these flaws can be improved, this place is still recommended to anyone who wants to visit Salzburg for business or short excursion.

NIce place to stay
The place is nice and clean and have a free parking. Though it's not close to the center, we can get there with 25 minutes of walk by the river (nice walk). The only downside of the place was the staff as they didn't care at all about the customer and were really rude (except for one).

Very clean room. A bit far from transit stop
The room was very clean and spacious. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The only thing is the location if you are taking public transit, which is about 10 minutes walk. It's ok if you don't have luggage to drag and the weather is good. Overall the hotel is quite nice and clean.
