Toplage für eine Stadttour

Pros: Lage, Lage, Lage. Alle Sehenswerten Punkte in Salzburg sind ohne Auto in Minuten zu erreichen. Das Haus steht unter Denkmalschutz und ist attraktiv.
Cons: Der Kleiderschrank im gebuchten Zimmer ist nicht ausreichend. (2 Personen/3 Nächte) .
Location: Salzburg/Altstadt. Dom/Residenz/Getreidegasse etc. max. 3 Gehminuten entfernt.
Der Start an der Rezeption verlief höflich, professionell. Aber ohne Charme. Kein Angebot zur Hilfestellung z.B.zu den Möglichkeiten die das Hotel, oder aber die Stadt bietet. Im "Altstadt Cafe" (im Hotel) gibt es auch kleine Speisen. Genutzt wurde das "Kalbsbutterschnitzel". Das ist schlicht eine Frikadelle. Befragte Fachkräfte eines hochwertigen Restaurants sprachen von Irreführung. Aber, nach diesem etwas holprigen Start war es ein sehr gelungener Aufenthalt. Das Hotel hat Charme.

The location is ideal, the rooms were large and well-appointed, and the service was attentive and friendly. All in all, it was an excellent stay.

Never again

Bad experience. The hotel did not notify us of on going construction, which lasted until 10 p.m. and began the next morning at 6:30 a.m. So a very bad night's sleep. We received a 10 percent discount and free breakfast after complaining, which I appreciate. But the room itself was not nearly as updated or comfortable as I'd come to associate with the RB brand. In addition, the staff was unable to explain to someone meeting us how to get to the hotel. Something like construction MUST BE DISCLOSED by a hotel so guests can make an educated choice as to whether or not to book elsewhere instead.

MUHTEŞEM!

Otel muhteşemdi.Manzaramız da cabası, nehir manzaralı. Odası kocaman, konumu tam merkezde, personel çok güleryüzlü ve ilgili. Diğer otellerin yorumlarında hep ısıtmanın olmamasından şikayet edilmiş. Burada ise dışarısı buz gibiyken odada kısa kolluyla dolaşabiliyorsunuz. Oda ahşap döşenmiş aynı Salzburg'un masalsı havasına yakışacak şekilde kendinizi yüzyıllar öncesinden kalma hissediyorsunuz. Bir daha Salzburg'a gidecek olsam kesinlikle tek tercihim yine bu otel olur. Gönül rahatlığıyla konaklayın.

Mixed feelings

Hotel Altstadt is a charming hotel, in a perfect location, well run with efficient and pleasant staff. We stayed there six nights and were very happy until the last day, a Friday, when we were kept awake until 3:30 am by very loud music coming from a night club in the basement, unrelated to the hotel. When we complained the following morning, the hotel tried to make us feel better about it and offered a discount on that night's stay. However, no amount of financial compensation would make up for a night's lost sleep. Another point, of less importance, is that the notice to save the earth's resources was ignored by staff who changed all the towels (and bedding) every day, regardless of where we left them.
