“nice bed and romantic resort”

“I booked the Floating Home in Reef Resort because I wanted to try something completely different, and that's exactly what I got. Being out on the water makes it unlike a normal hotel stay. The biggest issue is communication about arrival. It wasn't made clear beforehand that you have to take a barge to reach the resort, with an additional ₱1,000 charge. Luckily, I had a local Philippine phone, which made coordinating everything much easier. If you're a foreign traveler without a local number, I……

“amazing staff.”

“Clean rooms and very good food ”

“When we arrived there was no record of our confirmation. The staff were unaware of our arrival. She had to call the owner to confirm. The owner neglected to inform them of our arrival. Such a disorganized way of doing business. Water supply was being turned off during the night. We have to wait for the staff to arrive in the AM to turn it on. Toilet was a big problem when you want to use that night ‘coz it won’t flush because there is no water supply. We had to leave the property a day……

“First up...the tricycle driver who picked up us brought us to the old and wrong spot for boat pickup. We finally called and said there will be a late fee of 700 per room cause we were not there at 2.00. We were there for 2 but was dropped off at wrong terminal. They did not want to hear about it neither and make it right. The property itself does not at all look like the pics u see online when there were newer. The aircons barely blow cold and the portable potty were quite nasty as well. We were……

“I’m extremely disappointed with my reservation experience. The entire communication was stressful and disappointing.”

Everyone was friendly, helpful, and welcoming. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the amenities were also well maintained and enjoyable. Club Samal is currently expanding and repairing some facilities, which shows they are continuing to improve the resort for their guests. Even with the ongoing improvements, our stay was……

“Love everythimg about it. Beyond expectation.”
