I stayed 3 nights and 4 days. since the minute I steeped in into the hotel I was amazed by the hotel is beutiful inside and out. I had a junior suit that come with a Butler, huge bed terrace and view to the ocean. nice pool a bar at the beach and pool. good food especially Thursday. the entertainment staff is awesome and I like their performance. the magician really surprise me with the trick and was very funny. but the best thing of all and the reason you can not go to samana and choose a different hotel is the hospitality and helpfulness of the staff. 10 stars on this aspect. every single one of them is there to please you. I love it.

Overall good, with some room for improvement - humidity in rooms - probably more noticeable due to bad weather the previous weeks.
Bathroom amenities should be replaced every day - frequently not the case
Limited options for breakfast considered for an all-inclusive 5-star hotel
Staff works better with tips - drinks, restaurants, etc - which shouldn't be expected for a 5-star hotel
Also, resort is more than 2hours away from airport - hotel should help guests with transfer and find a way to make it cheaper - pay 200 dollars for each way is something you would like to know in advance
Prices for extra programs could be cheaper
Not the perfect spot for people who are expecting to do snorkeling and see the bottom of the sea - for those who want clear, flat and translucid ocean water, Samana is not the best place - ocean looks like Miami, with some waves, hot (>70 F) and see weeds
Positive points: Good value/cost, good place for people who want more privacy compared with more confused/crowded destinations (punta Cana, etc..)
Ocean water is wonderful - perfect for watersports
Staff is overall very kind, specially entertainment staff,
night parties every night, with free salsa lessons included
Activity program in beach is very strong and diverse, you can do pretty much what you want including music classes, yoga, sports, etc
Overall, it´s a good place to go, would grade it 4-start resort, expecting to spend more once you get there - the concept "all inclusive" is not really true

My teen daughter and I spent one week at Clave Verde and had the most wonderful experience! Even before we arrived Noemi our amazing hostess had emailed me all the information I needed to get a bus from the airport and helped me figure out all our transportation needs, even offering to pick us up in Las Terrenas the local town if we needed. As soon as you arrive and are greeted so warmly by her, you know you are in the most caring and capable of hands. The whole place is like being in a tree house with views from the rooms and dining area overlooking the trees and mountains to the sea beyond. The accommodations are super clean and really well designed with rustic elegance giving you a real feeling of communion with nature. Returning to the peace and tranquility of Clave Verde after a day at the beach or an adventure elsewhere was pure joy. In the evening before dinner, we relaxed and lounged by the salt water pool, resting our eyes on the stunning view, chatting to the other guests, or to Noemi and her wonderful husband Jonathan. Breakfasts in the morning were absolutely delicious with freshly blended papaya, mango or pineapple juices and fruit bowls, followed by wonderful egg dishes or pancakes with home made jams. Noemi went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed and will help you plan and book any outing you have in mind. By the end of our trip we felt like family and are so grateful to have landed in such an oasis of peace and charm and warmth. Amazing!!!

The hotel exceeded my expectations. The apartment that we rented was safe, comfortable, clean, modern and well equipped. The staff was helpful and very friendly. It was perfect for my family of 4, which included a child with special needs.
