"Resort Close to Beach "
Samoa is a great place to visit for any family or couple. Heaps to do and see and the Samoan people are very nice. The resort was nice as it wasn't a large resort - meaning it was easy for us to interact with resort staff and other guests. A very pleasant stay and we felt comfortable, also pleased at the price of accommodation. The Staff and owners were very nice and informative. I would recommend a rental car to anyone going to Samoa and Sa'moana resort so you can drive around and see all the beautiful sights. The resort did offer local tours to some of the sights around the island also. Which are worth looking into.

"Lovely spot with great staff"
Beautiful setting with a lovely pool amongst palms. Right on the beach although we were advised not to swim in the beach due to stingrays. Warm, welcoming and helpful staff - nothing was too difficult for them.

Return to Paradise Resort

"Excellent low key resort on stunning beach"
We thoroughly enjoyed our break at the Return to Paradise Resort. The beach is simply stunning and has great snorkelling. The breakfasts were plentiful and kept us full for most of the day. We rented a car and explored Samoa far and wide, as well as relaxing at the resort itself. There are a couple wee quirks (hot was cold and cold was hot in our shower), but it adds to the charm and the daily newsletter is a joy to read and something we genuinely looked forward to each day. Nothing was too much trouble and the staff truly make you feel like you're part of the family. Make sure yo catch the Fiafia night on Tuesdays, as it's the family and staff that perform the dances. Further afield I can highly recommend the To Sua ocean trench, as well as the Puila cave pools. We also managed a day trip to Savai'i which as well worth it. Make sure you prebook the ferries if you're travelling with a rental car.

Saletoga Sands Resort and Spa

Main South Coast Road, Matatufu - Map
"Perfection - couldn't have asked for more!"
The pictures don’t do this piece of paradise any justice, it’s so much more beautiful in person especially the gardens. To Sua Trench is a must, take your goggles and flippers (can get from the resort for free) and get Sili to take you into the caves (at the trench and blowhole). The waterfall was also lovely. Sili and Tina do an awesome job taking the tours with Tina doing the talking and Sili going out with you. The food was great, we had some awesome meals there including nightly specials (lobster!). Get a fresh coconut and when you’re finished drinking ask them to crack it open and eat the soft flesh – heaven! The Wednesday night traditional Samoan night was brilliant, huge appreciation for the effort and class of these guys and girls. Make sure you reserve a table and take some money to tip at the end. The rooms are lovely and the outdoor showers are brilliant (hot water). Showering under the stars and coconut trees was magical. The real standout is the staff. They are really lovely awesome people and showcase what Samoa is all about. Ignore any negative reviews, Saletoga Sands was a piece of paradise on the most beautiful side of the island. The resort is really well thought out and impressive – traditional looks and touches with modern feel. Do yourself a favour and go for walks along the beach, out into the villages and go on the tours to see Samoa at its finest, don’t just sit around the pool. We will be visiting again! Thanks for the memories. Perfection.

it was good to get away from the hustle of the mainland in Apia to somewhere where it was quiet and relaxing. The pool was great, especially next to the 'beach' overlooking the 'ocean' seeing the mainland in the distance.

"Boutique beach accommodation"
Quiet and remote resort. Excellent "get away from it all" holiday for couples who want to "switch off" from the hustle and bustle of usual work/life routine. Absolutely nothing outside resort (other than going for a walk into village). The accommodation was excellent. Shower outside and inside (villa 8, 9 and honeymoon suite). Views were amazing. Pool, pool bar and restaurant all good. Food was good but portions small and on the expensive side. However, there was an abundance of attentive, friendly and professional staff who are a credit to the helpful owner (who was on site every day). There are no shops to buy snacks but there was a complementary bar stocked up every night. We hired a car (you can hire from the resort). Ideally we would have done a twin location holiday. A few days in Apia and a few days at Seabreeze.
