Marazul is a beautiful hotel, quiet with nice groomed landscape, bridge walk to bar on boat dock. Staff was friendly. There is only a small man made sand area with access to ocean but no real beach. Entertaining at night was very mediocre, very disappointing and not as advertised on the activity board at the hotel. The drinks at the bar are almost a completely ripooff. The worst cocktails we have ever drinken. No name brands liquor.

Staff and facility were incredible! Probably only complaint/wish is that I assumed they would have WiFi. My cell connection was spotty which made it difficult for me to communicate with others back home. I was also there as the Coronavirus was kicking in and the place was shutting down. They did a great job coordinating all of that.

Well for starters there was no WiFi the whole stay. So I couldn’t speak to my familia in the states. The room wasn’t cleaned properly I had long hairs on my floors after being mopped. TV was terrible. Liquor selection was terrible , not a great selection. Some staff were rude not much but a couple..

The checkin situation there is horrible. Every afternoon the lobby is filled with weary travelers waiting for their rooms. We arrived at 12 and were told checkin was at 3. We didn’t get our room until 4. The front desk staff was rude and unsympathetic throughout the ordeal. Another problem is internet. You have to pay by the hour and it is not fast. That’s right, the “all inclusive” resort does not include internet. That is a policy that really needs to change. The internet is a ubiquitous necessity to travelers. They might as well charge extra for the phone or TV. Now the good things about the place. It was clean and well maintained. The rest of the staff were courteous and always willing to help. The food and drinks were good and there was plenty of it. Overall we had a pleasant stay.

Buenos días, Estimado huésped, Antes que nada agradecerle que nos haya elegido como hotel para sus días de descanso. en respuesta a sus comentarios queremos aclarar lo siguiente: entendemos la molestia por el check in , ya que la operación hotelera maneja unos tiempos en que el pasajero en salida entrega la habitación a las 12 M y se procede a realizar un tratamiento de limpieza general y desinfección cumpliendo con los estándares de calidad, por lo cual le recordamos a los pasajeros en destino que la hora del check in es entre 3:00 Pm y 5:30 Pm. manejamos una realimentacion diaria con nuestros colaboradores de la recepción en con el fin de llegar a cumplir con nuestra misión que es la satisfacción de nuestros clientes. efectivamente el wify es un servicio adicional ya que por nuestra ubicación geográfica no contamos con servicios directos en la isla la cual nos hace depender de proveedores externos. por otro lado agradecemos que haya valorado el esfuerzo que hace cada uno de los colaboradores para hacer sus días memorables y que poco a poco se fueron llenando sus expectativas. nuevamente mil gracias por sus comentario y lamentamos que se hayan presentado situaciones durante su estadía.

Very unfriendly staf Food is ok Poor beach Place needs a renovation asap. I had to beg for a little bit of milk for my daughter's bottle unless you tip the staff. They need a lot of customer service training.

The overall stay was good, one of our daughters' life vests was lost at the pool, and that never leaves a great feeling. You start to question the staff, guests, etc. we filed a missing items report, but nothing resulted of it. We had a great time there, unfortunately it's hard to forget the bad.

Do not go to DECAMERON!
This is not an all inclusive hotel. The service is bad, the rooms are not confortable and you need to pay for things that should be included. You need to reserve from 6.30 to 8 AM if you want to go for lunch or dinner to a better restaurant, the system has no senes.

Horrible experience. From the minute I walked in with my girlfriend some of the male staff were making rude comments about her which I heard, them not realizing I spoke Spanish. There was charges for everything....safe key, beach towels , remote for the tv. They gave me one room first but as I was walking away they gave me another room that when we got to it you could tell it hadn't been cleaned in awhile, there were no towels and the ac was broken. I asked for another room which was the first room that they had given me....no hot water and no new towels. The bar drinks were weak and given in paper Dixie cups. The food at the ala cartel was ok.....had to make reservations at the other two restaurants which we waited to do early in the morning but after an hour wait decided not to. Overall......worst all inclusive place I have ever stayed. For $300.00 per night a total rip off. The rude male staff and overall unfriendliness of the rest of the staff ruined my two night stay. Will never use their chain again.

Minor Problems Overcome by Great Staff
Overall we had a great trip to San Andres and still believe this was the best hotel to stay at. Currently, the rooms are outdated but they are working hard on renovations. The staff is extremely friendly. They do everything to keep you entertained from Bingo to Water Polo and fun shows at night. They have a boat that goes to the Aquarium which is great. Food is also good and varied.

Everything was as expected. Hotel is pretty well located, and even it can be renovated, facilities are in a very good shape. Had a wonderful holidays with the family, and the hotel staff did everything on their power to improve our stay. I'll definitely stay again at the same hotel.

One Of The Worst Hotels Ever Been To!
Bad Location, No Beach, Very Windy Small Pool. Worst Bed Ever Slept On (Felt like Sleeping On Ply Wood). Very Noisy, Major Construction going on all the Time in Rooms,(Jack Hammers, Saws etc, 7am-7Pm every Day) Suppose to Be All Inclusive, But You Have to Pay for Internet Wi Fi Service, And Pay for Safe in Room, & Pay For Any Calls From the Room. Refrigerator Totally Empty Not Even Water.(Signs Say Be Ware of the Tap Water. Only Few Restaurants Have to Make Reservation At 8 AM Every Morning, and Very Limited.Only two Bars, Small Dixie Cups for Drinks. Asked for A Columbia Beer, but they said the Boats with Beer have not Come in for Days, So all they Had was Miller Lights. I would Never Reccomend This Hotel To Anyone!

Personal tried Hard but not always acts quickly or explains things clearly. Lady in the tour office could be friendlier. Booking made for dinner in another hotel, made in front of me, never materialized. The Wifi should be free in the lobby as it is very bad and frustrating to pay and not be able to be connected with the outside world. The food fantastic, rooms clean although shower horrible, no hot water. All in all it was enjoyable but could have been better.

Very nice setting by the beach and Mangroves.
The hotel is located in a great place that could easily be a luxury hotel setting. The facilities are old, the staff is friendly but don't really have enough training in customer service, good effort to keep people entertained in the evenings but lacks of a kids club so too tired to enjoy the party. The quality of the food is good, place fairly busy. Water sports are great but better to deal directly with sports school that is linked to the hotel Chamey's they look after their clients and are pretty straight forward. We had an enjoyable holiday overall.

Awful not even 1 start hotel
San Andres has the most beautiful water color I ever see ,however the hotel beach is ugly ,the color is dark and the sand too. The rooms are super old and dirty ,never could get hot water, hair on the pillows, basket full of waste,mattress super old and thin,the tv are from the 80s,the AC is old and noisy,not elevator so a lot of stairs. Its like traveling back in the time in the bad way. Do not waste your money.

Great lo catión in san andres
We had a great time in San andres. The hotel offers activities and is located next to the best beach in the island, 1 km away. The food is ok, they have 2 restaurants besides de buffet , and you can also make reservations in any of the other decamerons to eat lunch or dinner. The 7 colors in the sea made this vacation a special feast for the eyes. The staff and islanders are friendly and is safe for tourists to walk around at any time.

I visit the Island for 3 days with my family. The property is nice and the rooms are confortable although the bathroom was quite old and in bad shape. Food in the buffet restaurant was surprisingly good. Some staff was nice, but others like Marielli the recepcionist were very rude and unwelcoming. The second day, they make our room at 5pm (not nice). In all, if you visit do not expect good service. Our peers recommended this destination because it was cheap. We booked late and we end up paying a higher rate. Not worth it. The hotel has a small beach wich is perfect for peple with small kids to relax. But if you want to see the ocean and its beautiful colors from your room it is not the right place. We enjoyed our stay, but if we ever came back to the island we will try a different hotel.

Do not expect a warm welcome
Do not expect to be greeted with a smile when you enter the hotel. Staff is busy and unfriendly and the check-in process is lengthy and frustrating. Rooms are very uncomfortable. The beds are hard and the air conditioner and toilet malfunctioned several times. The floor tiles inside the room were very slippery. The food was very good. They offered a lot of healthy options and it all tasted home cooked. The beach on the premises is muddy and a little gross. It is more than worth it to take the $3 cab ride to Rocky Cay and enjoy your all-inclusive food and drinks there. Be wary of leaving personal items unsupervised in the public areas. We experienced the theft of a beach towel in the pool area. The beaches and the island tours were spectacular. The aquarium beach is breathtaking and more than worth a stay at this hotel, due to its close proximity and complimentary shuttle.

Hotel is the Decameron's brand best in the island, but outdoors bathrooms are not clean, toilet paper missing, gardens not clean, food not so well, drinks liquor brands are the worse, restaurant buffett floor not so clean you need slippers.

It was just OK...
The food at Marazul was just ok and you better make sure you know the schedule of breakfast, lunch and dinner because once you miss it, you have to wait for the next one. The food isn't just available to you like it is at most all-inclusive resorts. Their WIFI is horrible and they charge by the hour, so make sure to have an international plan. The rooms are clean and the resort is always up kept. it is also very well secured. They know who stays there and who doesn't. The beach at this hotel is not nice because it was man made. You will definitely need to go to a different beach. If I was to come back to San Andres, I would try a non Decameron hotel.

Nice hotel but not very nice food
The hotel is very nice and overall I would recommend it but the food is not very good. It is best to stay and have dinner in the main restaurant than reserving at Rodeo steak house or the international restaurant.

Decameron Marazul - San Andres
The quality of the hotel is at most 3 starts. The service is good, but the facilities are from poor to average. The hotel has a very poor beach, but at least it has one, the other Decamerons in the island don't have one and you have to use the public beach. The pool is not very big and considering the bad beach it should have a pool for children separately. The buffet restaurat is fine and the service very good. The "a la carte" restaurants are quite bad... they usually only have a couple of dishes so I think they souldn't be called " a la carte". There is no transportation between hotels in order to use facilities or a la carte restaurants. The experience was fine, but I will not go back. Please try Riviera Maya, Punta Cana or Cuba. Quality / Price should drive you away from San Andres.

Muito longe de ser um resort
o hotel "all inclusive" deixa muito a desejar, pois este "all", não inclui wifii que necessita ser pago, nem o transporte para o clube de praia, pois o hotel não tem praia, e sim um "lodo" produzido artificialmente. Se desejar ir a uns dos restaurantes noturnos, parabéns, pois vc de férias terá que acordar bem cedinho e entrar numa fila, senão esqueça os restaurantes a la carte, e fique com o buffet, que não é ruim, porém deixa a desejar para um hotel que se diz "resort".

Descanso y entretención en una isla preciosa
El hotel es sencillo pero muy comodo. En la Isla hay muchos hoteles Decameron y están integrados de forma que puedes visitarlos, usar sus instalaciones e incluso almorzar o cenar. Todos son muy diferentes y ello te permite ir variando y hacer menos monotona tu estancia. Para mi gusto el Mar Azul es uno de los mejores para estar en familia pero la playa no es muy limpia. Para disfrutar de una cena con música en vivo mi recomendación es ir al Acuario y para pasar la tarde en una linda playa, recomiendo el buffet del San Luis.
