Pros: Really liked the night social, you can have beer or wine and fun munchies.
Location: If you want to take the boat on the river you can buy tickets and get on the boat not far from the hotel. enjoyed walking the riverwalk.
The hotel staff were so nice and made us feel very welcome. We enjoyed this hotel and would stay here again. close to everything.

Riverwalk Trip During Spring Break

Posted Mar 22, 2017
Pros: Great breakfast buffet, helpful staff.
Cons: Wifi slow, no parking except valet so should make valet more affordable
Location: Located centrally on the Riverwalk and close to the mall, Alamo and other attractions. Couldn't have asked for a more convenient location.
We had a great time and the hotel is perfect for a trip to the Riverwalk!!. Located centrally on the Riverwalk and close to the mall, Alamo and other attractions. Couldn't have asked for a more convenient location.

Convenient location on Riverwalk

Posted Mar 20, 2017
Pros: Great location, social hour.
Cons: Attention to detail in room conditions.
Location: Great location, right on Riverwalk in San Antonio, short walk to the Alamo and other sights.
Nice hotel, convenient and right on Riverwalk. Overall a good facility but needs attention to details, i.e., bathroom floor was sticky, condenser in refrigerator rattled, things like that. The social hour was very well done, a great opportunity to meet other travelers. Overall good, but needs that attention to detail that I have seen at other Homewood Suite facilities.

Close to Everything

Posted Mar 12, 2017
Pros: There were lots of families at the hotel. I think the free meals made it much easier for parents.
Location: Everything is close. You can easily walk to the convention center, etc.
My husband was at a conference and I without a car, but the River Walk was right out the door and could, also, be enjoyed out the huge windows at the free hot breakfast and free dinner from Mon-Thursday. The dinners every night, except one - "Happy Hour snacks" were plenty for dinner. Each included a salad and soup. One night was pasta and bread, one was BBQ sliders and another was Chinese noodles. There was tea, coffee and free beer, wine and Margaritas. the staff was friendly and lent us an umbrella for our stay and got us into our room 3 hours early. The only problem was the city noises. We had a corner room that overlooked the river and a bus stop. Around 11:00 at night the buses lined up around the corner and were loud. But overall, I would stay here for the location, staff, room and free meals.

Best smelling hotel ever.

Posted Mar 2, 2017
Even the elevator smelled great. Pillows were hard but I made it work. Amazing staff, no room service, but free breakfast and dinner (dinner was mon-thurs only and more of a snack/ salad bar). On one end of the river walk. Overall I'd stay again.

Great hotel to stay at in San Antonio

Posted Feb 4, 2017
Great hotel to stay at if you visit San Antonio... I had a very spacious and lovely suite which overlooked the Riverwalk. Only a short walk to both the Alamo and the nearest Riverwalk boat tour stopping location. I visited San Antonio to watch the Royal Rumble at the Alamodome which was about a 20 minute walk away, and an awesome event! Only thing I will say is the hot food options at the breakfast buffet were limited. But that's just my big appetite being picky and not a complaint in any way.

Close to Convention Center and River Walk

Posted Jan 30, 2017
Modern decor in a historical building right on the River Walk. Only 15 minute walk to The Alamo and Gonzales Convention Center. Free breakfast was the bomb! Only down side is they only have Valet Parking which is approx $30/day plus tips. Other parking garages near by don't let you come and go during the same day. The small rooftop pool is outdoors, but its heated, and the roof provides a wonderful view of the city. The two-bedroom suite had a "full" kitchen (stove top but no oven), and two full size bathrooms. Bedding is premium.

Great upgrade in a wonderful location!

Posted Jan 26, 2017
Loved everything about this great hotel! Destiny at the front desk was fantastic and gave us a great 2 bedroom upgrade! Dinner at night with those fabulous margaritas was outstanding . Breakfast was also very good. Loved walking to great restaurants and the laser show at night at the San Fernando Cathedral was beautiful! Would definitely return!

Great hotel

Posted Jan 7, 2017
Highly recommend this hotel. Location was great. On river walk - very close to all the restaurants- but in a quieter part of the river walk. Staff were great. Way better breakfast than expected- happy hour was a nice touch. Room was large, clean and very comfortable

Problems with Charges

Posted Dec 21, 2016 on CheapTickets
When checking in I asked if there was a room with river view. I was told yes, but it was an accessible room. I chose to take that room. When I got to the room I could only see the river if I stood up..horrible view. I requested my original room. They were very gracious and gave me the room I thought were my original reservation. When I checked out there were no charges owed. Later when I looked at my charge card, they had added an additional $261. dollars to my card without discussing this with me. I called back and they told me this was an upgrade. The manager told me that the person involved in the transaction wasn't there and he would have to call me back later. That never happened....so I will never stay there again.
