Close to the River Walk and downtown.

Pros: Very welcoming!
Cons: All seem to be working well.
Location: The obviously the river walk. But the Alamo, western museum, restaurants, shopping, and other places of interest.
Staff was excellent. Eddie, Steve, and AJ as well as others at the front desk and car valet. We were welcomed each time we left and returned to the hotel. Staff members were eager to help us find what we needed.

This was a phenomenal hotel great service awesome people but prices for food and drinks were pretty expensive

Enjoyed out long weekend at The Contessa. Staff was very professional and helpful in every way. Room was super, very spacious and comfirtable

APTA conference

Pros: liked everything, food room service good the first night
Cons: daily maid service, I think it may have been booked fully due to local conference but daily cleaning of room could of been better,esp left daily tip
Location: location perfect sooo much to do close to everything
my son participate in APTA conference, decided to make vacation of event. loved the hotel and location, everyone at hotel friendly and helpful room was big and very comfortable love the extra room, and the door to bedroom let us feel at home , great suites. only disappointing feature was the daily cleaning of the room little weak our glasses not cleaned and replaced, and out glasses from our previous day bar drinks left on table otherwise would totally return back

I flew into San Antonio and the original place I was booked was a complete nightmare. So I made last minute arrangements at Hotel Contessa and was the best decision. The staff was amazing, I was able to get an early check in. The whole experience was amazing.

Staff is excellent. My only concerns were the noise level, I could hear my noisy neighbors' conversations and the street noise on the 12th floor and the fact the curtains did not block out the lights at night.

Close to River Walk

Pros: Close to everything
Cons: Valet parking was difficult, area too small.
Nice hotel, great room with 60" HDTV. Like staying in a one bedroom condo.

Lots of problems in every segment

checked in and light bulbs burnt out. called for room service and touch button went to spa. hotel sent maintenance and he told me to not use the direct dial buttons. Really? why have them? cleaning service l ft empty wine and beer bottles from the night before. toilet was not even cleaned. 'All together a huge disappointment given the price point of the hotel. my husband is the CMO of G6Hospitality and quite frankly they do customer service better!

Wonderful Experience

Pros: Beautiful facility. Immaculately maintained. Perfectly located. Clean and comfortable. No charge to use computer & printer in business center.
Cons: Weather got nasty for 3 days but this staff and facility did not let that spoil our stay.
Location: 1. Get a map at the front desk. 2. River boat tour. 3. Bus tour which includes the missions. Watch films. 4. Alamo. 5. Rosarios/Station/Tony Romas++++
No disappointments throughout our entire stay. I have never experienced such sincere, friendly and helpful staff as we did at this hotel. We were comfortable in every part of this facility. Excellent coffee station in the lounge every morning which was free. Morning paper which was free. Internet included in room price. Free use of business center computers and printers. I traveled to San Antonio to pick up some fitness equipment that was stored in the bed of my truck. Valet service kept the equipment safe during our stay. Valet service stored our luggage after we checked out so we could go to lunch before traveling. What pleasant people, gorgeous facility, and wonderful experience. Read and had coffee each morning right on the River Walk. Lounge was a great place to sit and relax before going to dinner, watching people and boats on the river. The staff had superb recommendations for lunch and dinner.
