Very nice resort hotelPosted Aug 30, 2015
Pros: Excellent service, great facilities and grounds, fun pools/slides
Cons: Clean and sanitize drinking glasses in the rooms, clean pools more frequently
We stayed at the resort for 4 nights and really enjoyed the facilities. The grounds are beautiful, the rooms are very comfortable, lovely golf course, and plenty to do for the kids. The staff are very friendly and made us feel incredibly welcomed. I loved the fact that they had a Starbucks on site! We were there from a Weds-Sunday and the pools were not crowded and clean up until Friday. Then it got incredibly crowded and the pools were pretty filthy (beer cans in the plants, white frothy foam in some corners of the pool, and leaves/mulch floating). They probably would benefit from more cleanings during the busy times. I understand that they are adding additional pools and slides for next year which will help accommodate more people. The room was very clean with the exception of the glasses in the bathroom which had lip marks all over them when we first arrived, so clearly not cleaned or sanitized. That was pretty gross, so I washed them myself before using them. The fitness facility is excellent and I enjoyed getting a quick workout in each morning. Overall, a very nice stay!

The only thing missing was the beach!!Posted Aug 20, 2015
When my daughter wanted to go to Sea World for a family vacation I did so but my ideal vacation has always been the beach. This place was awesome!! I didn't miss the beach at all. The grounds are beautiful, hotel staff was great, the water park was fun especially for my daughter!! She even asked if we could leave Sea World and go back to play in the pool. We will definately be back, but next time bring family and friends.

Great Property but service was very poor..!!!Posted Aug 13, 2015
Great location and beautiful property but understaffed and unorganized. 45 min wait for breakfast with reservation and room service was no better with 75 min wait. Would not go back...

Not Handicapp FriendlyPosted Aug 12, 2015
They have no automatic doors. Forces you to have to try to push door and get through with the chair and you trying to fight the door as well. We booked months in advance and asked for handicapp room we get there and the room was not handicapp accessible so I am fighting doors inside the room as well. My sister got pretty banged up with bruises trying to help me through the days we were at this hotel. Then myself and three others ended up with food poisoning from only eating at the hotel only.

Excellent for FamiliesPosted Aug 10, 2015
Pros: Facilities, activities, service
Cons: Food is not that good and very crowded
Location: Great tube rides, awesome lazy river, fantastic activities for the kids
Absolutely fantastic for families. The only critique is that it is way too crowded. However, they are adding 2 new slides and a conference center and not adding any more rooms, so that should thin out the overcrowding. If you come during the week and avoid the weekends, you will think you have the place to yourself. Staff, facilities and activities for kids is second to none in the area. It's a stay-cation, vacation or surprise trip must. Don't expect too much from the restaurants, the cleanliness, facilities and service was fine, but the quality of the food was not up to par.

Anniversary Getaway!Posted Aug 5, 2015
Pros: The spa hands down is the BEST thing about our trip. The layout was wonderful with steam, sauna and aromotherapy reading room. Private pool was great
Cons: Housekeeping...there was noticeable trash throughout the halls. Also they only had one bathrobe and they never brought the second one we requested.
Location: It's in the middle of nowhere which you don't have to go anywhere. You can relax, eat and sleep all in the same place.
My husband and I traveled from Austin to San Antonio to celebrate our 3 year anniversary. When we arrived at the Marriott, we were warmly greeted by the valet staff and proceeded to the check in. It was 4pm and we were told our room was not available yet. So we hung around the lobby for about 45 minutes until they called us to come check in. We were given our keys and as we unlocked our room, another guest was there. Apparently they had given that room to someone else. So we headed back to the check in and the staff apologized profusely and gave us the night for free as well as an upgraded room. We finally arrived at our hotel room and had to wait for the bellman to bring our luggage as it had already been in route to the other room. That was kinda annoying so we didn't settle in to the hotel for a few hours. The room was nice and it overlooked the golf course hole 18 and was very quiet. We enjoyed a nice steak dinner at the 18 oaks restaurant and when we returned our key didn't work. So we had to go to the lobby to get a new one. The key cards suck at this place by the way. We had our neighbor knock on our door and ask if we could call the front to let them know her key card didn't work. We called and they said she has to come down to the lobby. Annoying we had to play middle man on that one. Anyways we woke up the next day and enjoyed a wonderful breakfast at the Cibolo Moon and enjoyed spa and golf for the rest of the weekend. Very relaxing getaway!
