Gorgeous grounds. Very expansive property poor communication of how to navigate to on site spots such as restaurant, pools, grounds. For this calibre of resort the customer service was poor. Staff didn’t know where things were located when asked to be directed to one of property restaurants. Food was average for lunch and dinner was lacking seasoning and overcooked. Breakfast buffet offer great choices that you discovered as it was not described. Only two employees were good and they both were excellent -Austin server on our last day for breakfast and the chef at omelette station. All others poor. Our room was not cleaned- one bed made up other left unmade. Four hundred dollar night resort and still charged to park your car and no one to navigate you or assist you with your bags into the property. Rooms did not have appropriate number of towels and when asked brought incorrect items. Too many unruly children everywhere with no guest services assisting parents with where they may be better entertained. Activities were all far too much extra cost. Our teenage daughters were disappointed as well with the service except when Austin served and was exceptional. Gorgeous grounds unfortunately will not return. Much better resorts in Texas providing superior service for less- Gaylord Texan is one. Management should read and have their teams read the book of Creating Magic by Lee Cockrell.
