Terrible experience at check out

People from the staff need to be trained. We had a really bad experience since our check in. When we check out they charge one more room. Since the hotel is very expensive we thought they were right, but once at home we noticed about the mistake. Finally everything was clear , but it was very unpleasant and stressful all the time we spent calling expedia, american express and the hotel to made them understand that they had a mistake since our arriving at the check in.
I will also suggest to provide slippers at the room
