Close to base

It was all good. Just a bit out dated but nice . Better light bulbs would be nice . Like night lights

Smoking room

Pros: I am not coming back to La Quinta. The following two nights at San Antonio we picked Holiday Inn.
Arrived at the hotel at 10:00 pm very tired, since came driving from Houston, and guess what? Hotel fully booked (yeee spring break!) and I got a room (#161) smelling cigar. Me and wife do not smoke was very bad. At the morning the breakfast was totaly disorganized with long lines.

Dated But Very Nice

Pros: The staff
Cons: The exterior
The staff was very welcoming and helpful. The room was well furnished and very clean and the breakfast was great. Perfect place to stay for the Air Force Graduation!

Dirty Rooms

Pros: Nothing
Cons: Clean the rooms completely before renting them out again- do not treat it like it is being rented by the hour
The room we received was dirty at best. We got past the obvious items such as trash between the bed and nightstand, dirty washcloth under the sink. The real issue came when the bed was turned down, mass of hair on the sheets and pillow case- and the shower had hair all over it- not sure that the room did not just have the bed made as if a guest was returning. We left and went to another hotel as there were not rooms available to change to or a maid available to bring anything or clean up our room as we arrived at 11:00 at night due to late flights.

Very convenient to Lackland, but hotel was lacking

Pros: VERY convenient to Lackland AFB.
Can't shut bathroom door if you want to take shower. Shower stall was 2 ft square. Take your own hair dryer. Ours did not work and hotel had no others. Don't be fooled that 4-5 people can stay in king size bed room.

Loud and bad area

Our ac didn't work well and my daughter was in the room next to us and it had a joining room which someone tried to get in at 3 in the morning

Great stay

The only complaint we have about this hotel was the beds being small they were comfy but small! The hotel staff was amazing from check in to check out very friendly! If you are traveling to go to lackland afb this hotel is not even a mile away which was a major plus!! This hotel should have more rating it was a great stay for myself and family! Very satisfied with this hotel and staff! Breakfast options were good! Definitely would stay again!!

Close to sea world and river walk

Clean room, small has a motel feel all rooms are entered from the out side. Not in the nicest part of town but felt safe, and rooms were updated, not many tv channels, small breakfast.

This La Quinta is tired, old, and worn out.

Pros: Close to Air Force base...........but that was the only positive thing.
Cons: As stated...........this hotel is worn out and dated. Rooms are marginal to say the very best about this La Quinta. Breakfast in the AM is also sad.
This hotel is tired and worn; it shows its age and is FAR to expensive for a room of this type and condition. Even if the rates were one half of what they charge, it would be excessive. Look around for better accommodations if staying in the San Antonio area.
