the room service was horrible, we walked in our room and the first thing we noticed were spider webs on the walls, the pillow cases were dirty and we had to complain about the room service because our tub, toilet and sink were not cleaned! The only thing offered at "breakfast" we're waffles, toast and cereal. The coffee, if you want to call it coffee, was very weak. Even one of the receptionist was making her own coffee in her office because she said "she did not like the coffee here." The only thing this hotel has going for it is that it is directly across the street from Market Square and walking distance to River Walk, for that reason alone you'd think the owners would do something to fix the place up.

One of the Original La QuintasPosted Sep 19, 2015
The design of the hotel is traditional but the inside is modern. Everyday, room was cleaned and sheets were changed. Free parking and breakfast saved me money. Market Square is just across the street. The Alamo and Riverwalk are just walking distance. However just be cautious walking late at night from the Riverwalk to the hotel because there are some scattered homeless people in certain streets, though harmless, who would kept on asking for some money.

Good comfortable hotel. It's near downtown/Alamo.Posted Sep 7, 2015
Pros: Great location for the price.
Cons: Install small refrigerator and microwave in rooms.
Location: Many, many San Antonio tourist sites within trolley, walking or short driving distance.
Good quiet and comfortable. It is close to city trolley and restaurants. It's also within walking distance of Alamo, Riverwalk and other downtown sites. Traffic in area is light. Negative issue: Housekeeping was non-existiing for two days out of four.

WONDERFUL!Posted Sep 6, 2015
Incredibly clean room, pool and lobby. Great water pressure in shower. Friendly, helpful staff. Very comfy bed and FEATHER PILLOWS! Close to all the cool downtown SA places, too. My (too short) vacation experience at La Quinta was FANTASTIC!!! -David Arny

PrivacyPosted Aug 18, 2015
Pros: Very friendly staff - especially "Maria"
Cons: DO NOT ALLOW SOLICITATION!!!
Location: Right across the street from the Market Square with great places for dining and celebrating.
We feel our privacy was INVADED by solicitors. Three different times ads were left under our door. It was even getting dark in the evening when a Pizza place left solicitation under the door. It made us feel as if they were trying to see if someone was in or if they could see through the windows. It was almost scary; very uncomfortable feeling to say the least. That area in town has many homeless people and our security was at risk.

Surprisingly comfortablePosted Aug 15, 2015
Pros: Attractions for downtown area within walking distance.
Cons: Room I stayed in could use new mirrors and touch up around the edges of the rooms. I guess I am a stickler for imperfections in the crown moldings.
Location: The market place was right across the street, a 24 hr restaurant with good food. 2 block walking distance from the Riverwalk and downtown area.
The staff was very helpful, polite, respectful and friendly. The room was comfortable and very clean... however it could use some work. Other than that I would recommend La Quinta.
