Decent quality Hotel with exceptional staff

Pros: Friendly helpful staff. Decent rooms and nearby amenities. Good price
Cons: A larger, better outfitted fitness center.
The San Antonio Airport La Quinta is a little off the beaten path. Most of the hotels near the airport are either along the north side of the 410 (Drury, Holiday Inn, Hilton, Double Tree) or over on the airport side of the 281 on Broadway. The La Quinta is tucked back behind a parking garage on the southern side of the 410 and literally in the shadow of the western edge of the 281. Besides the fact that its tucked back in that corner. It is within walking distance of the North Star Mall, good eats at Cracker Barrell and Pappadeux's as well as Applebees. The staff here are great. They were extremely helpful calling taxis for me in the morning and providing a late check out on my final day that lined up better with my flight, besides being friendly and generally good people. The rooms are nothing spectacular but certainly acceptable. Typical airport hotel with clean, relatively updated rooms. The pool out back is very nice and the lobby elevator seems to always be waiting on my floor for me. About the only "disappointment' I had was there was no bin of oatmeal with the free breakfast... You had to made the instant kind (meh!) and the fitness room is 3 treadmills with a small pull down bar system.... A slightly larger, better outfitted gym would be a nice addition. Beyond those two relatively small gripes. I'd come back... Price was best in town and the stay was as good as my stay at Holiday Inn (if not quite as palatial) last year, but for 1/2 the price.

Nice hotel and up the street from north star mall

Its the second time i stay here and i love it. Breakfast is great and its near so many things. Really recommend it

Hotel within close proximity of attrations

We enjoyed our stay. The staff was very informative about restaurants close to the hotel and the shuttle service available to guest. We were close to all the attractions we were interested in. The room was clean and very quiet.

Pros: The hotel is clean and well maintained.
This hotel is close to the airport and shopping. It is also close to 410 and 281 which makes it easy to get to any area of town.

Clean and comfortable but super busy

Breakfast was your standard selection however due to busy season it was almost impossible to eat there (lots of crowds) staff was very friendly and helpful. Pull out bed mattress very thin and " pocky" even fit young children

Don't do it

my TOILET was broke ran all night couldn't use it until8am staff don't care blew it off we were from KC no more rooms were available in town there was hair in the bathtub .the breakfast was good but not worth all that and at check in I had a promo code front desk guy says use it at check out at check out they wouldn't honor saying I should have used it at check in
