Nice hotel, but the construction was awful

Construction causes confusion with checkin and inconvenience getting to room. Staff was amazing though!

Renovation

Renovation work really affected quality of our stay. The main breakfast area was closed and temporary breakfast setup was terrible, had to go and eat outside. Staff didn't fell a bit apologetic regarding the condition.

The room was very comfortable and large. Plenty of room to move around. The hotel lobby and dining room were closed due to renovation so breakfast was in a conference room. The hotel is close enough to the Mercado but a long walk from downtown and the Alamo. It was nice to have a supermarket across the street.

Not this La Quinta

The lobby of the hotel is going through construction. We had to enter through a side door that was kept unlocked. I felt it a security issue. When I pulled out the sofa bed it was not cleaned. The bed was full of hair and dirt. That made me question the cleanliness of my room. When I informed the young lady at the makeshift front desk she told me she couldn't do anything for me because I booked through Expedia. She could have offered me something. I will not hold this against La Quinta. They are usually a great hotel. I will not go back to this one.

The hotel room was fine until the bathroom

My husband and son stayed in this hotel. After a long drive they checked in rather late and headed to the room. All looked well apon entering the room, however the bathroom wasn't clean...on the surface it looked clean but it was not. Poop on the underside of the toilet, would never book there again

Good location in downtown area of San Antonio. Close to the Riverwalk and Alamo. Convenient to gas station, grocery store and a BBQ restaurant.

Nice hotel and easy access to highway

I enjoyed my stay with this hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good and convenient. The only thing I didn't like was the remodeling that was going on. You walk in to a large black piece of plastic that was hanging over this huge area. This was the first thing u see and I did not like this. Overall this was a great place to stay!!!!!

Nice hotel close to River Walk.

Location: Close to River Walk , Market Place and Alamo.
Comfortable beds. I would book this hotel again. Walking distance to River Walk, Alamo and Market Place.

Good hotel for the price and close to river walk

Pros: Clean and a very good breakfast.
Cons: There was construction going on outside, however that will end eventually.
Location: We wanted something close to the river walk. This was close enough.
We were in town for one night and wanted to see the Alamo and River Walk. We were able to experience both.
