I had a number of special requests during my stay - printing documents, need for shuttle service, etc. and in every case the staff went out of their way to make my life easier, enabling me to attend to the business I was there to do. Thanks!!

Pros: Restaurant staff were very attentive and quick to provide breakfast.
Cons: Bathroom needs significant updating. Shower failed to drain on second morning. Shower faucet head is not able to be repositioned. Not a '4' star hotel
Location: Good location right off I-10.
Okay, admittedly it has to be hard to staff a hotel after New Years' eve, along with serving guests in San Antonio on the night of an NBA game and a NCAA bowl game, nonetheless, this hotel disappointed (significantly) for the following reasons: - Check-in time is quoted as 3pm. On arriving at 4:15pm New Year's Day, we were informed that are rooms were not ready, due to late turnover and the previous nights guests opting to stay later. We were told that it would take 30 minutes before our room was available. Hanging out in the lobby with an increasing number of guests in the same predicament, the wait stretched on past an hour. After 5pm we were finally given our room key. There was no offer for free drinks or food in the Hotel Restaurant / Bar. We did receive a small cheese tray after we returned from dinner. - The beds had crumbs on the covers and in the sheets. Thus, it's not clear what was really cleaned during the "cleaning" process that took a couple of hours longer than it should. - After arriving to the room tired from a six hour drive and an hour extra spent sitting in the lobby anxiously worried we wouldn't have time to get ready for our dinner reservations, it's probably understandable for the reader to expect that I was ready to have a beer. The mini-bar in the room did have two beers cold. I proceed to drink the Heineken. We stayed for two nights...the beer was not restocked the following day during housekeeping. I find this unacceptable for a '4' Star hotel.

Cons: When heat or AC kicked on, vent let out a musty smell at first. Vent location causes air to be blown directly on sleeping guest.
Spent week between Christmas and New Years visiting family.

My wife discovered hair in the bed when they arrived. There was a dead roach in the bathroom. The tile in the bathroom was filthy. My mother accompanied my wife along with my 2 year old daughter and 5 year old niece. Needless to say we were concerned about their health due to the lack cleanliness at this hotel. I can't believe this is four star hotel with excellent ratings. I'm disappointed with Expedia for recommending this hotel.

Overall the hotel is very nice and the service was good. The experience was diminished by the room itself. Room layout was not good. King size bed in a room that was too small for the bed. The closet is extremely small and the sliding doors on the closet don't have enough space to open more than about 8 inches. Overall the layout made the room very uncomfortable.
