Comfy & inviting

Hotel is currently under renovation & laborers are present seemingly 24/7. As always the room was large and very comfortable. I love having the kitchen and extra seating. This time our room wasn't exactly pristine but overall I would recommend the hotel to visitors, especially if going to Lackland AFB-very convenient.

This hotel was filthy, there was non stop banging.

I would not stay here again. We stay in hotels alot and this was the worst! The staff was nice but the pool was gross my son got sick from water I'm sure of it , rooms were filthy. No internet part of stay. They where doing some construction renovations dust from above was coming through the vent not to mention the non stop banging till 8 o clock was terrible you could not enjoy your room. House keeping made bed when they showed up, but didn't vacuum once or clean counters until I asked and even then they didn't vacuum, We stayed 10 days. I wish I didn't book on Expedia because I would have left he hotel the first day. Sad we always stay at Home to Suits by Hilton they surpass this hotel by a long shot. Our experience at this Residence in by Marriott was Ruined for us will stay with Hilton from now on. There was on plus the lady in the kitchen at Breakfast was the crown Jewel in the hotel! She went above and beyond for us when my son got sick she got us ginger ale from the store! She should get a raise best and only great part of this Hotel.

Good hotel, really bad staff

Pros: Good location, good breakfast, close to a movie thater, close to the highway, good restaurants nearby, its a nice little hotel, good parking space....
Cons: the staff, most of the staff was rude to us and to other costumers that a witness during my stay it`s like they don`t even care about doing their job.
The hotel is nice, but most of the staff were terrible, they look like they were being force to do that job so they show a lack of effort on helping the costumers except from Juan, he was helpful. I stayed for 7 night an they made me move to another room after 5 night so i had to pack everything an move to another room just for 2 night because the were doing renovation that nobody told me when i book that hotel, if i knew that i will be moving in the middle of my stay, would have choose a different hotel. When we change rooms the new room was dirty from de work they did there and the dishes were full with dust, very disgusting, and the only thing the manager did was say he was sorry but didn`t do anything to hel fix the problem, we did the cleaning of the dishes by our selfs. I have stayed in a lot of resident inn hotels, and by far this was my worst experience ever, as a marriott owner i was surprised to see a marriott hotel having rude staff because usually the people the marriott hires are very nice but this wasn`t the case.

Juan was so helpful with everything he printed out directions for us to restaurants since we were from out of state! The breakfast was awesome and the ladies in there were awesome!

Great staff but not clean for a Marriot Hotel

Pros: The staff.
Cons: Address room cleanliness. Also, people in the gym are exposed to high levels of chlorine from the adjacent pool, this is an unhealthy situation.
The positives:The hotel staff was friendly and very helpful. The bathroom was clean and in great condition. The bad: Our room (#130) was not clean and was poorly equipped for a kitchenette suite, especially for a Marriott Hotel. There was dog hair all over the sofa and throughout the room; one person in our group sneezed continuously during our stay. The carpets smelled terrible and there was some burn damage to the carpet in the main room. The kitchen cabinets, drawers, and handles were filthy, and the counters had an unpleasant odor. We purchased a bottle of Windex cleaner and cleaned the worst areas in the kitchen. Based on our experience at Marriott properties across the country, this hotel is not up to Marriott standards.
