Pros: Conveniently located, free breakfast, valet parking cheaper than self parking, and most staff was friendly. Cons: NO heated pool. While at pool, I called to ask if they have heated pool and mention jets weren't going. Pool is heated based on inside temperature. Response about the jets "it is not a hot tub." I know it is not a hot tub but most normal pools have air jets to keep pool from being stagnant. Hurting from sleeping in uncomfortable beds. Husband told me he felt like he was sleeping on a folding (roll-away) bed. Housekeeping was to be on Monday but we never did get housekeeping. Looked like exhaust fan in bathroom but it didn't work so we went to Walgreens and bought air freshener. Fire alarm occurred on Monday night of our stay and as my son and I were going down, husband was on his way back up and they were saying "false alarm. Go back to your rooms." (even if false alarm, I thought guests were to exit building and hotel do headcount to make sure everyone is accounted for.)

Nice place to stay at. Young staff. Not many parking options other than valet. Rooms are nice, hotel itself is quiet. Rooms by the alley will not have much quiet at night due to trash trucks and homeless people. It was difficult to find this hotel at night. The outside is very dark. There are a few small local restaurants on E. Houston that you should try.

Our stay here was very good. Every individual that worked at this motel that we came in contact with were courteous and helpful. I really thank them for that. The breakfast was varied and quite good, but I would suggest changing up the meat choices a bit - the sausage rounds were good, but we got tired of them, and the heated pepperoni was too spicy and greasy. The location was super - so close to the Alamo, shops, restaurants, Walgreens, Rivercentre Mall, Riverwalk. The motel was clean.

Easy walking distance to Alamo and Riverwalk. Safe. Although there are unfortunately a lot of homeless souls wandering San Antonio. FYI… 40 for parking

This suite had a nice kitchenette for those staying a few days. The room was clean and employees were friendly. Complimentary breakfast served was delicious. This location is set in the most convenient part of the downtown San Antonio. You can walk to the river walk where there are restaurants and stores. A small mall is not too far of a walk. Valet is fairly priced as well.

Overall the stay was very nice. The hotel is very clean and rather new. The staff is thoughtful and very accommodating. I do get somewhat frustrated with a hotel chain that charges $5 a day for internet (a reason I have personal hotspot feature on my phone). The city of San Antonio needs to do something about homeless people over running the city. There is a large population of homeless people all over the city. The staff here keeps the door locked from evening until morning to keep them out of the hotel.

Cold shower for 3-day stay even when notifying hotel staff; room phone did not work which is a guest safety issue. Hotel did not charge me for stay due to issues which I appreciated.

The Towneplace suites was clean, the staff was very kind and attentive. The continental breakfast was good and different every day- fun twist was the Belgium waffle maker in the shape of Texas! Super close to the Riverwalk, Alamo, mall and endless options for food! The rooms were decent size with high ceilings - some rooms could use a little TLC. But overall happy with our week stay!

Staff was great. But this property is not the best. The smell was the biggest turn off. Everything is really dated in this place. But I guess I got what I paid for. For the price it’s exactly what you think it’ll be.

Always someone in the lobby check-in desk which was also their security. Breakfast was great, except when their shipment didn't come in and there were expected items missing. Some of the items in our room were broken, but still serviceable. (Towel rack and toilet paper holder) Nice kitchenette and refrigerator to keep our leftovers and extra drinks cool. Best thing we're the friendly and helpful employees ❤️ worst thing - the configuration of the shower, toilet and vanity/closet configuration. Room for 4 could only be tolerable for 2 because of the cramped set-up.
